I woke up, checked the time on the nightstand and almost cried when it read 01:50 AM. My sleep! Suddenly feeling something press down on my stomach, I looked to my side and found a slightly snoring Samkelo sleeping peacefully. I gulped and tried to get my heart to beat steadily.Samkelo was sleeping on his stomach, his arm wrapped around my stomach as he faced me. I stilled, and damnit could my heart slow the fuck down. I turned to look at him, he was such a handsome man. His parted lips looked so inviting- and I should stop right there. I hated him, I shouldn't forget that.
"I like my girls thinner than that," Yeah, it was not like I fitted his criteria anyways. I sighed and removed his arm from my stomach. I got up and went to the bathroom to relieve myself.
My husband liked women who didn't have handles, big thighs, and huge hips. I looked at the mirror and scoffed at the image of myself.I fixed the bonnet on my head and made my way back to the bed. This time I made sure to put enough space between Samkelo and me. I didn't even look at him, I turned my back on him. I knew what he said shouldn't have hurt me, but it did.
What was wrong with me? Since when did anything he said get to me? I hated whatever these feelings were. I gasped when I felt his arm over my handles again, this time I was pulled close to a chest. I gasped as my back hit his chest. I tried to wiggle out of his hold but he tightened his arm around me.
"S-Samkelo, your...your uhm hand," I placed my hand over his and tried to remove it from my stomach.
"Go back to sleep, you feel so good" He murmured in his groggy and deep voice, his breath fanning the back of my neck. I closed my eyes and tried so desperately to even my breathing. I felt the dampness in my lower region. Oh my God!
"Okay," I whispered in a small voice. I was such a whore. One minute I was wallowing in my broken heart over this man and the next I was cuddling in his arms. I started to fall asleep, maybe it was a dream or maybe I wanted it to happen when I felt my husband's lips kiss my bare shoulder.
I swear I heard him say something along the lines, "I'm sorry," but obviously Samkelo wouldn't say that so I had probably dreamt it.

The time I woke up I was alone on my bed and in the room. Thinking about the previous events that occurred, I sighed. For some reason, I couldn't stop the goofy smile that displayed on my face. I had a shower singing my rusty lungs out. I wore some tight tights, a turtleneck, and some boots as I grabbed my coat.
I tied my braids into a high bun and let it fall over my head.
As usual, I found Samkelo in the kitchen on his laptop. "Morning," I decided to test the waters. Maybe he was drunk with sleep and didn't remember whatever he did. But I was surprised when I heard him.
"Hmm, morning," I knew it wasn't much, but coming from him it was saying a lot. The nut was starting to crack. Discretely, I smiled and started on breakfast. "We heading to the orphanage today. The hardware store has delivered the materials, we have to show face for the media." He was so businesslike.
I rolled my eyes. "Okay," I placed some chocolate chip pancakes in front of him and removed the laptop. He scowled and was definitely about you say something. "Eat, I'll be keeping this," I closed the gadget and put it in its bag.
"I was still working with that," He looked like he was about to jump over the table and snatch the laptop. I gave him a smile. "Azalea," He warned.
"Well, after you've had breakfast you can have this back." I knew I had him when he sighed and started to cut into his pancakes. "So, what's left to be done at the orphanage?" I joined him and started to eat my breakfast.
"Painting the corridor and delivering the laptops for the high schoolers," He took a sip of his coffee. He was so addicted to that caffeine.
"The toilets have been fixed, the beds are replaced, and the kitchen furnishings have been installed." he elaborated.I smiled.
"What are you smiling for, princess?" He looked right at me with his piercing eyes.
"Even though it was only for the public, I'm glad I was part of something like this, it feels good helping." I grinned at him. He grunted and went back to eating. That was the only reaction I was getting from him.
After breakfast, Samkelo and I made our way to the orphanage. The kids were thrilled to see us and gave us warm hugs. I was so overwhelmed by their smiles, so much so that I wanted to cry. The little ones were so young to be here.
I felt a tap on my leg and turned around to look at a little girl, no less than 5 years old looking at me with big doe eyes.
"Hey baby girl, what's wrong?" I crouched down to her height.
"T-thank you for the clothes." She whispered. I swear I felt my heart squeeze. "My sister told me that you a princess, and that princesses are really nice." She told me. I wiped the lone tear that slid down my cheek. Gosh, this girl was just adorable.
"What's your name sweetie?" I stroked her cheek.
"Amara," She smiled. Who would leave such a cute thing here?
"Amara, what a beautiful name for an equally beautiful girl." I popped her nose with my finger making her giggle. She stopped giggling as she looked at something behind me. I looked back and Samkelo's hard face looking at the girl. I sighed and looked back at Amara to see her shying away. He was scaring her.
"Pipe it down with the scowls, would you? You're scaring her," I glared back at him.
"We have to take pictures at the painting scene." He grumbled. I rolled my eyes, and Amara giggled again.
"Okay. Hey Amara, do you want to do something cool?" I got up and grabbed her hand. She nodded. "Let's go paint some flowers on the walls." I gave my husband a side look.
"Well, are you gonna just stand there or are you painting with us?" I grabbed his hand too. I smiled as I saw his puzzled look.He was cute.
