The thing I loved most about this place was the beach. And the guest house had to be on the side of the empty side, well not entirely empty just quiet enough. They were some people lingering around that evening as I took a stroll. The sun was setting and the waves had calmed down. The sky reflected beautiful colors onto the ocean.I inhaled a deep breath and let out everything I felt inside.
"I got to say, I've been frequenting this beach and I've never seen anything more beautiful than the beach itself," I turned to see a man staring at me, like really looking at me. I wasn't going to lie, I was flattered by the compliment.
My brows raised as I looked at him.
"Oh, I'm Qhawe, ngabe wena ntokazi ubani igama?"The voice, hmm the voice! I cleared my throat and looked back at the beautiful colors of the setting sun.
"I'm married," The minute I said that I realized just how conceited I sounded. He probably was just complimenting me and not looking for anything. I was about to apologize when he said.
"I don't see a ring on your finger," I looked at my finger and back at him. "Until I do, I would like to pursue you," I was pretty sure my eyebrows touched my hairline.
"I'm married traditionally, I'm pretty sure that's why there is no ring on my finger. He was hot and all but he was overconfident. I shared with him a small smile as I started to walk back the way I came. He followed me, Jesus. Why can't he get a hint?
"I see what you trying to do, alright I'll play along." I was now confused. I gave him a look so he can explain what he meant. "You trying to play hard to get. I'm used to the 'I'm married' stunt." He chuckled as he matched my pace.
Wow! What a narcissistic. "Is that what I'm doing?" I rolled my eyes. "Can you stop following me now, you know before my husband suspects me of cheating?" I stopped and turned to look at him seriously.
"Give me your number at least," Way to ruin my lovely evening. "Please, then I'll leave you alone, make sure you don't get in trouble with your husband." he air-quoted the husband part. He took out his phone, unlocked it, and held it out to me.
"I'm not giving you my number, please leave me alone." I was starting to get annoyed. I turned and walked away. Luckily he didn't follow me but he did shout at my back.
"I'll see you around mama," Urgh!
I got home and went straight to take a shower. I had bad luck in men, I was either cursed or CURSED. Because I can't be married to a narcissistic man and only get approached by other narcissistic men, what madness is that?
I got out of the shower and wore my pajamas because it was late.I decided to order in today and not cook. I was about to ask Samkelo what he wanted to eat when I got to the kitchen. As usual, he was stuck on that laptop.
"I'm ordering in, want anything specific?" I opened the fridge and took out a can of Cranberry juice. I looked back at him when he didn't answer me. "Samkelo, I'm talking to you,"
"Why don't you ask your boyfriend, I never said I was hungry did I?" He glared at the screen of the poor laptop. Mouth gaped, I blinked with full confusion. What in the hell was he talking about?
"What in the hell are you talking about?" I put the can on the island. Samkelo, with a clenched jaw, and narrowed eyes got up and shut the laptop before exiting the kitchen.
"Haibo!" I was left confused and alone in the kitchen. Losing appetite, I decided to just head to bed. But the problem was I couldn't sleep and it wasn't even that late. I kept turning and tossing in bed until I had enough.
I stood over the head of the prince as he slept on a sofa with my arms folded. I knew he wasn't sleeping even though his eyes were closed. My foot kept tapping on the floor.
"I'm trying to sleep, what do you want?" His gruff voice sounded like music to my ears. It almost made me forget what I was doing there in the first place.
"What is your problem? Why are you cold and then when it suits you, you're warm then boom you're cold again?" It was my turn to glare at him now.
Samkelo got up and sized me up, obviously his height was towering over me. I took a step back.
"You're my problem, ever since you came into my life I have not had peace of mind. And if you have a problem with how I act toward you, I suggest you go back to that boyfriend of yours and be with him instead." he was moving closer as I stepped further. I gulped, I felt my eyes glistening with tears.
"Well, I'm so sorry for being a burden in your life, maybe if you had a backbone you would've told your mother that you didn't want a wife!" I regretted what I said the second I said it. "Samkelo-"
His demeanor changed, and I was scared. Finally, I was trapped between him and the wall. I swallowed again. He didn't say anything, just looked at me with a very tense look. He went from angry to just observing. He was assessing my face and as he looked at my lips I felt my heart beating out of its ribcage.
My head started playing memories from the night we were both drunk and oh God, we almost kissed before I passed out.
"Who was that man at the beach?" He was so close, so close that his breath mingled with mine. "What's your business with him?" That intense look came back on his face.
Then it hit me, he saw me and narcissistic Qhawe at the beach. Maybe if I wasn't sure, I'd say my husband was jealous.
"He was a man who wanted to pursue me," I decided to check the waters. He grunted, and damn if that wasn't sexy. I felt my panties getting wet. His hand grabbed the back of my neck and tilted my head even more so that our noses touched.
"And did you tell him you're married?" He whispered over my lips. My eyes fluttered close, I wasn't sure I answered him, but when he tightened his hold I was sure I hadn't. "Azalea, did you tell that man that you're my wife?"
"Yes," I whispered. Then his lips crashed into mine. I felt like I was flying high. I grabbed his waist and tightened my hold on his sides. He kneaded his long fingers through my hair. I moaned when he thrusted his tongue inside my mouth. Fuck, I was so wet.
His hands roamed my upper body as mine found their way around his neck. Then out of nowhere, he picked me up so that I wrapped my thick thighs around his waist. His hands cupped my ass as he walked to the bedroom. He laid me softly on the bed.
His eyes were as hazed as mine. His lips were so inviting. I released a shaky breath as his hands went under my thin top.
"You are mine, no man is allowed to pursue you." He pinched my nipple and I moaned out loud. "Do I make myself clear?" He pinched it again.
"Yes, I got it," I moaned.
Then he kissed me again.
