All her life before the events of TES 3: Morrowind Marygold lived in Cyrodiil. She never knew her real parents and was raised by a Dunmer family, at the age of six she was accepted into the University Of Magic in the Imperial City (my Dragonborn also studied there).
During one of the Celebrations after winning magic duel competitions Marygold was captured by the Imperial guard, they said she had stolen a neckless from one duchess, which was a lie and Marygold knew this. Anyway the neckless was found in her waist bag. Before this accident she helped one drank man to stand on his feet...
Later on in prison the Emperor Uriel Septim VII personally came to speak with her and offered a choice, either she agrees to complete one mission after which she can get a place at court, or she will spend several years in jail. A real setup... Marygold agreed, but without any enthusiasm.
And so she found herself in Morrowind... Where she several people of the Blades (apart from Kai Casades) and also met the Eshlender named Julan Kaushibael (who playes this mod, knows what I mean), who believed that he was the Nerevarine. Marygold believed him and didn't think that in fact it's her despite her dreams or Dagoth Ur's servants' words.
When the ring Moon-and-Star recognized her, Marygold also received a letter from the Emperor, where he explained that setup and even apologized for all of this. Eventually Marygold defeated all the enemies (she didn't want to kill Dagoth Ur really). And after several years with Julan and as a new ruler of Morrowind, Marygold was sent into the future by Azura to help the last Dragonborn (Spark of Akatosh) to save the world from destruction. Champion of Cyrodiil (new Sheogorath) also joined them.
P.S. Yes, her name is Marygold, not Marigold. She really didn't like that many people were saying that she looks like a beautiful flower, and changed one letter of her name.
