Real name is Laurel Corgan, Lord Nasher's niece. Was born and lived in Neverwinter till she became 5 years old. She and her family were returning to their home city shen the bandits attacked them. Laurel's parents were brutally murdered and the girl werself was kidnapped. Somehow she managed to escape Neverwinter guards came to deal with the attackers. Not knowing those were her uncle's men, Laurel fled...
Later on she was found by a peasant family far away from Neverwinter. Because of shock the girl lost the ability to speak so she couldn't say her name and that she wants to go home back to her uncle... So she stayed with the family, her foster parents gave the girl name Morgan, that's how they wanted to call their lost unborn child...
So Laurel and now Morgan became part of this family. Since her young age she was good at magic (would have been accepted to the Neverwinter's magic University if not for this tragedy) and begin to use it to help her new family with the housework.
Once at the age of 10, Mogran was wandering in the forest not far from the village where she lived and saw a deadly injured black panther. Humans did this to her. All the panther asked Morgan (in human voice) was to take care of her last kitten who was near her. And then... simply disappeared dispersing into many-namy sparks. Before this the panther mentioned that the kitten's name was Ferna...
That's when Morgan said her name aloud.
For many years Morgan was hiding the new panther from everyone and secretly fed her, so Ferna grew into a strong intelligent being and became Morgan's familiar. In a way thanks to her, Morgan eventually begun to speak again.
Because of her childhood psychological trauma Morgan is not very good at making contact with other people and is more fond of animals. Never she expected that a man like Aarin Gend would pay attention to her... But he did.
At first she was very afraid that Lord Nasher would recognize her, and he did eventually... At first he told her about his long lost niece and all unsuccessful attempts to find her, he asked if she really was Laurel. To that Morgan smiled sadly and answered that she was Laurel Corgan once... but not anymore.
