It had been thee days since the whole demon Eda incident and everybody had been trying to get back to some semblance of normalcy. Which despite being a foreign concept to the Demon Realm in Hunter's mind, they were able to get back to the routine they had before with the curse not even coming back up.

The young G.I. had also taken an interest in the world of magic, but unlike Luz who was just waiting for Eda to teach her something, Hunter had emersed himself in Eda's library. There he had discovered many different spells and magical techniques. And while he knew he'd never be able to do any of them, he knew that he could do something with potions and magically imbued items. The idea of a flaming sword just couldn't help but enchant his mind.

Hunter was also being introduced to the wonderful world of post war human music. Luz had tried introducing him to artists like Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, and Billie Eilish. He was not impressed. So Luz did a little research and looked into some older artists like the rolling Stones and Bob Dylan. He was immediately hooked.

Hunter was particularly fond of Rock and roll and became a rocker overnight, going through over two hundred songs from thirty different groups and artists in just a day.

Eda, noticing this, gave Hunter a device called a Zune. It kinda resembled Luz's phone, but was made solely to play music. Hunter happily took the gift and found it hard to not use it, but he could put it down if needed, such as the current moment.

Eda had decided to set her human items stand back up and had taken Luz, King, and Hunter to help with the business. She was organizing and dusting off items around the shop with the help of Hunter. Meanwhile though, Luz was reading one of her good witch Azura to King.

"'Emboldened by the dishonor Hecate had shown, Azura lifted her staff to the cotton candy skies and shouted 'I challenge you to a magic duel!'''' The young girl narrated dramatically. "And look, I made a little flip book." She mentioned flipping the corner of the book back forth where a pair of drawings had been made of Hecate and Azura dueling. "Pew, pew, pew."

"Show me, show me the picture!" King demanded with the same wonder of a small child. Luz obliged and turned the page to King. "Hah! I can draw better than that. Y'know they once called me the King of Artists."

"And here I thought you were the King of demons." Hunter smirked turning to the pair. "You're just making up titles now aren't you?"

"Doesn't matter. What's important is that my followers would leave me offerings in fear of me."

"I think the only reason anyone would give you offerings is out of pity because of your pathetic attempts to seem important."

King was taken aback unable to respond to think of a good response to such an accusation. Luz meanwhile, had her fist up against her mouth while inhaling deeply. "Oooooohhhhh, burn~." King was still trying to think of a good comeback that could cut just as deep, but he simply fell onto the table in disappointment.

Satisfied with having put down the demons ego, Hunter turned to Eda. "Hey, Eda? I think we should call it a day."

"Sorry Blondie, but it's the middle of the day when the market is busiest, so we can't leave yet."

"Uh, what market?" Hunter pointed out. And as he alluded to, there was no market, no vendors, and no customers, just a single abandoned street with nobody in sight for miles.

Eda's expression turned dark. "This is a bad omen, something horrible must be happening today."

"Luz! Hunter!" Came a familiar voice. The quartet turned to see the familiar figures of Gus and Willow, the former having been the one who yelled.
