Operation: Hero Rescue

** READER'S POV **

The following morning, Midoriya and another student named Eijiro Kirishima were leaving their dorms with their briefcases when they heard a voice call from behind him.

"Hey guys!"

Looking behind him, he noticed his two classmates, Ochako Uraraka and Tsyuyu Asui, coming nearby.

"Looks like you received a message to meet at Sir Nighteye's agency?" Midoriya spoke.
"Yeah," Ochako answered.
"How'd you know?" questioned Tsuyu.
"Me and Kirishima got the same message as well."

He showed the girls the same response from Sir's text:

"Meeting at the agency. FatGum's, Ryuko's, and Lock's team are joining us for an operation. Bring your hero costumes. Time is of the essence."

"Huh? I wonder what the operation is about." Tsu asked.
"Not sure." Kirishima shrugged.

Midoriya, knowing precisely what the answer was, didn't respond to Tsu's answer. It had to do with YN and the situation that occurred with Overhaul's headquarters. From what Mirio had told him days earlier, Sir has found their location and has requested certain agencies to help them out for her rescue. As the four reached their destination, they noticed the Big Three drawing near in their hero costume.

"Hey, Hey!" one named Nejire cried out. "So glad to see you guys tonight."
"Hey Nejire," Ochako greeted, "looks like you guys got here too."
"Yep! Got your costumes?"
"Yeah, right here."

As she showed Nejire her costume luggage, Nejire smiled with delight.

"Good, then we need to get all of you dressed. Come on!"

With one grab, she started to drag the two towards the ladies' room in Sir's agency.

"I think she's right," Kirishima agreed, "We do need to get our costumes on, Midoriya. Well, come on, Amajiki. I'm told that my outfit has a bit of a complicated item, and I need your help."
"R-really??"
"Yeah. Come on!"

Eijiro escorted Amajiki towards the men's room, leaving Mirio and Midoriya alone outside Sir's agency.

"Mirio... I'm sorry..."
"No, I'm the one who should be sorry."
"Wait. What?"
"Well, Sir explained to me all about everything, and yet, didn't have the guts to apologize."
"But I also wanted to apologize. She-"
"I know. Sir told me. In his vision, he saw her giving herself up for her powers to be restored. But now, since she's in danger, we're focusing on saving her more than ever!"
"Right. So, we should be getting ready then?"

He nodded, escorting him to the room and hearing Sir's instruction.

Meanwhile, YN was sitting on the edge of her bedside in a different location, waiting for someone to get her. Fearing for the consequences, she heard a knock at the door.

"Please, go away!" she whimpered in fear.

However, instead of Chisaki or her brother entering the room, Chisaki's henchman, Chronostasis, accessed her room. Quietly, he calmed her down by brushing her hair. Feeling the touch of his hand, she looked up to see him without his mask on.

"Do not fear, little one." Chrono replied, "I've been under strict instructions from the young lord to keep my eye out for you. Besides, I owe you my life, Angelic hero, HN."

Hearing her hero code name for the first time in a while, YN looked towards his face, figuring out how she knew him. Just then, she recalled something from months earlier:

"Listen to me, hero: I'll hold him off as best as possible. Just go!"

"Okay...just... promise me you'll make it out alive."

With tears swelling up, I hugged him since Kai's quirk made me weak.

"Why are you here? And how did you-"
"You told me in the dream that you would come here."

Unsure of what he was talking about, YN forgot how her quirk's soul-searching connection from earlier reached him and Kai at once. It seems her quirk had revealed her true self to him and everything.

"As for the why, the young lord ordered me to make this for you."

Holding out his hand toward her, it appeared to be a bullet, similar to the red one she was shot in, but in blue.

"This reversal bullet will help you get your power back to how it was before." he whispered, "All we need to do is get a gun or something to shoot you with. Once it's effective, you can get out of here and save yourself from this place for good."
"Leave this place??" the voice echoed.

Turning around to the source of the echo, she and Chrono both saw Black Cat and Overhaul standing there, readying themselves for their way out. Chrono placed the mask back on to make sure his identity would remain anonymous to Black Cat's.

"I hope you aren't disobeying orders, are you, Chrono?" Black Cat pried, walking close to him with his blade.
"Of course not, my lord," he answered. "I only obey what the young lord has instructed me."
"Good. Now, grab her and lead us to the exit's location. We need to leave now."
"As you wish, my lord."

Holding her with the bullet needle piercing her skin, Chrono activated his quirk to slow the process as best as he could. Overhaul, on the other hand, prepared to place his hands on her, ensuring that her bones may resume as before. Suddenly, Chrono gripped his wrist tightly.

"Is something wrong, Chrono?" Black Cat prompted.
"Nothing, my lord. The young lord was about to destroy the young miss with his quirk."
"I see. Chisaki, don't harm her. We need her alive."
"Yes..." Kai grumbled.

Placing his hands back to their original positions, Overhaul walked near Black Cat as Chrono and YN stayed close by.

"Looks like the stage is set, Shigaraki," Black Cat spoke through the monitor near his ear.
"Good. With the plan staged to perfection, no one will stop us from taking over. Not even those pesky heroes who are going to save that hero wannabe! Keep doing what you've been ordered, and your reward will be great!"
"As you wish."

Walking towards the exit, Black Cat started to see the memories through Overhaul's mind: all of YN and her happy moments. Sicken by all their lovey-dovey stuff, he began phase 2 of his plan: mind erase.

"As long as he's under my control," he vowed internally. "those memories will be blocked and no longer be released until I'm free of him."
"You have your orders. Get to work." Overhaul ordered in monotone, walking past two villains from the League of Villains: Toga and Twice.
"Okay!" Toga smiled.
"You can count on us, Black Cat!" agreed Twice.
