"Lee Jooyeon, pay attention!" he was scolded by his literature teacher as he himself noticed that he was starting to doze off. "I'm sorry, Miss Pae" Jooyeon quickly apologized and also fixed his posture, to seem more attentive like that. The dude next to him laughed at him, as he passed Jooyeon a note.

honestly, better pay attention. or else you'll face hard consequences man

Jooyeon was puzzled. Of course, there will be consequences when you don't pay attention. But why is he so serious about it? It's normal to zone out sometimes. So while the teacher was writing something on the board, Jooyeon responded the boy and passed the note back to where it came from.

- wdym?

Jooyeon knew that the teachers were strict, that was the pure reason he was sent to the boarding school; His parents wanted to bring discipline into him. And they wanted to help him create new social contacts, because otherwise Jooyeon would only sit in his own room to game. But he couldn't imagine what hard consequences there would be? What is the definition of hard for that dude in this case? Detention? Running laps around the school?

can't tell you idk myself. students that are punished aren't allowed to tell anyone what happens

What a shitty system. Jooyeon was weirded out. Why weren't they allowed to say anything? It's just a punishment, it can't be that deep. Can it?

- uhm wtf... but anw whats your name?

He threw the note at the other's desk, and it landed perfectly. Jooyeon was skilled in throwing notes to his friends, as he used to do that at his previous public school he attended. Man, he missed his friends. But he was sure that he'll have a great time here, as well. Two years inside the boarding school and then he'd be able to leave, as he'd graduate then. He was seventeen now, and he'd leave with nineteen.

Just as the boy was about to pass the note back, the teacher turned around again and spotted him leaning sideways immediately. Jooyeon felt chills run down his spine at the stern glare she gave his seatmate.
"Oh Seungmin, what do I keep telling you about passing notes in my classes?" The boy instantly stood up, intimidated and frightened. At least Jooyeon knew his name now; Seungmin. "I'm sorry, Miss Pae. I promise, this won't happen again." he apologized hastily as he deeply bowed to her, his hands clenching into fists. Seungmin was clearly uncomfortable, everyone's eyes were on him, not a single word was spoken.

"Class, write down the things I wrote on the board, then you are dismissed. Unless you, Seungmin."
