Meeting Knight

Checking in to the venue for the concert is currently being a nightmare. The scanner system is down. The humidity is sky high causing people to faint. To top it all off, the confectionery bars are not yet open so no one can even get hydrated. I step outside as I'm in plenty of time, and I observe the architecture of the building. It's all brick with exposed steel and lots of glass. It's not really much cooler out here so I'm going to head back inside, hopefully I can get checked in.
Eventually they start letting people in but people are still fainting and feeling a little sick. I take a quick look inside the hall of where the concert is being held. Oh my goodness. It looks outstanding. The size is huge! It's arranged in four horseshoe shaped-tiers, with boxing and orchestra seating. Tonight is going to be electric with all of the fans in here!

Anyway it's time I look for the room where they're doing the VIP event so I ask a member of staff to direct me. The last thing I want to happen is to miss my opportunity of meeting my favourite band!
I did find my way with not too much difficulty. There's a large handful of fans waiting to meet the band. Just as I thought I was at the end, a girl in a wheelchair and her companion strolls up behind me. They end up being the last ones. I hear them say how they're glad they are at the end. I check the time and we have around three hours until the concert starts. The girl in the wheelchair smiles my way and I return the smile back to her.

We begin to chat. I learn that she's called Katie and her friend is Catherine. She adores Jon but she has a thing for Jordan although she likes them all. We swap social media handles. This is her first time meeting the guys as well. "Are you okay?" She asks me. I can feel my heart pounding and I'm a little hot. "Would you like a drink or something?" She asks me, whilst turning to look at Catherine who offers to get me a drink from the now opened confectionery bar, nearby. "Yes, please. If you don't mind." Catherine disappears, leaving Katie alone. "Try to imagine what it'll be like to finally meet Jon, I wonder if they give hugs to the fans?!" I hear her suggesting, obviously trying to distract me from my sudden weird feeling. The queue line is starting to get shorter. Catherine reappears with a bottle of water. "Here you are. They took the lid off as they don't allow them in the hall for safety reasons." She hands me and then gives one to Katie, "I got us a bottle too with it being so humid. Just let me know if you want it and I'll keep it in this bag." I watch as she finds a straw in the bag and places it in the bottle that she's given to Katie.
"Do you have your VIP ticket?" Someone with a clipboard stops at each person in the line, but now she's talking to me. I show her my lanyard that they've given me at the check in point. "I know you've already checked in but we have to double check everyone. There's not many left now." I put my lanyard back in my bag as I don't want to wear it for the photo.
The person in the queue line before me is called into the room. I try to peek inside whilst the doors are still open, I can't see them but I can hear them. Argh! That's going to be me in there next!
"Right, your turn!" The same woman with the clipboard, gestures to me as she opens the door. Nerves and excitement rush through my body as I walk through the door. I quickly spin round to wave to Katie and Catherine and slowly step in front of me into the room. The lights are bright and a sudden wave of heat hits me like there's no tomorrow as I take in my surroundings. Suddenly, I feel the room spinning. My breathing increases rapidly. My legs feel weak and wobbly. I reach out for something to grab hold on to. "Miss, are you okay?" A familiar voice asks me. "I... I can't breathe. My heart is beating like crazy. Like my feet are going to fall through the floor." I don't know how I'm managing to speak coherently when I feel like I'm going to die! "Guys, she's having a panic attack. Let's keep calm and not stress her out." That same familiar voice speaks again. He's telling me to take slow deep breaths. "Can you open your eyes?" He asks me. Slowly, I lift my lids to be face with Jon Knight.

He's kneeling on his knees. Wait, why is he kneeling yet he's at the same level as I am? I pat around me and I realise I've sat down. Did they sit me down or did I do that? "Hi, how are you feeling now?" Jon checks with me. Concern etched on his face. I take in his features. He's really handsome. I find myself lost when gazing into his beautiful brown eyes. "I'm feeling better now, thank you. What happened?" I quickly glance up to look behind him, there's Jordan and Joey who keep looking my way.

"You had a panic attack. What's your name?" I avert my eyes back to Jon and smile. "Oh. I'm sorry. I'm okay now though. I'm Kelly. Nice to meet you Jon, and to all of you." They all say hi and smile. Jared comes over to check if I'm alright. "I am now thank you, May I just grab my bottle a second before the photo?" I ask to make sure. While I'm having a drink, the guys make small talk with me. "Panic attacks are pure crap, always seem to happen at the worst times possible!" Jon says, honestly. The photographer asks me who I'd like to be next to for the photo. I look at all five guys. "Definitely Jon and Joey, please." They all move around so I'm kind of in the middle, almost. I receive hugs from them all.
"Let me know how you feel later on, Kelly, if you feel another attack coming and we can chat through it. If you're on social media. Okay?" I listen as Jon talks to me. "Yes, I will. Thank you Jon. I hope you and all of you have fun on stage." I make sure to tell them. Jon opens the door and I leave the room, remembering to smile and wave farewell to the band.
Once outside the room, I decide to have a sit down on the seats nearby and I can wait to see how Katie enjoys her VIP. Hopefully she won't have a stupid panic attack like I did!
