Games Night

A couple of hours have passed. Me and Jon have been getting everything set up for when Jordan and Katie arrive. They should be arriving any time soon and I'm really excited to see Katie. I'm busy in the kitchen sorting some of the food when there's a knock and voices beam through the house, Jon goes to greet his brother and Katie. "Wow this is really lovely and cosy in here." I hear her say as she is coming into the open planned room. Now I'm finished doing what I'm doing, I run out to her and we embrace in a hug. "It's so good to see you!" We both say to one another with big smiles on our faces. "Hi Jordan." I greet him. "Hey Kelly." I watch Jordan help Katie transfer onto the sofa and he offers to help Jon with anything but he's told to relax. Jon tells me to go and relax as well so I do that.
Jon does the majority of the talking and with Katie, mostly. Whereas me and Jordan are more tight lipped. Katie seems to have a way where she puts people at ease and is so easy to get along with. She has both of the brothers eating out of the palm of her hand. Me on the other hand, I'm just awkward.

When Jon goes up to the bathroom, I go to top up our drinks in the kitchen and I watch the other two. The way Jordan is making Katie giggle and smile is really cute. He's so playful with her. Even I can't help but smile, at watching them. I'm too busy watching them that I didn't hear Jon coming behind me and wrapping his arms around my waist, resting his chin on my shoulder. "They're adorable, aren't they?!" He says, softly only lots enough for me to hear. "Yeah. I feel bad though." I admit. "What about?" I take a deep breath. "I'm a cow towards him. I think we just seem to rub each other the wrong way. There's been a few times where he's been really nice and thoughtful and now just seeing how much he's making Katie smile." He gently spins me round so I'm stood facing him. "What do you want to do? I can talk to him for you."

I glance over to look at the two lovebirds and then back at Jon. "I think I should just make more of an effort with him tonight and then talk to him, alone." He kisses me as he pulls me in for a hug.
"Are we gonna play some games then or what?!" Jordan calls out, playfully. "Alright! Let me go and get them." Jon kisses me on the cheek and runs to the other room to grab the board games. I sit back down opposite Jordan and Katie. "Actually, I'm gonna head to the bathroom so I'll leave you two alone for a moment." Jordan says as he stands up. As soon as he's out of the room, Katie pats the seat next to her so I move round. "So how are you two?" I ask her. "Really good! I can feel myself falling for him already. What about you two?" My turn to answer. "We're good. He makes me happy. There's so much more to him than what people think." I tell her. "Yeah, that's the same with Jordan. He's goofy, smart, but he's such a wonderful listener. He certainly makes me smile." She giggles. "I hope he does." I say. "Oh believe me, he's always been a tease on stage but when it's just the two of us, oh my god, Kelly he's everything I could ever dream of." She wiggles her brow, suggestively. I gasp and put my hand over my mouth in shock at hearing her talk so openly about him in that way. "Katie! Wow too much information but I think it's something in them cos Jon is incredible too." Ha ha we are both laughing now. "I'm only telling you about this because you're like my best friend and I know you wouldn't go blabbing about us, and vice versa." I pretend to zip my mouth closed.
"Let's get a selfie together before the guys come back." Katie squeals excitedly as she grabs her phone. I lean in close to her as she takes a few selfies of us. Jon comes in with a bundle of games and drops them on the coffee table.

I look at them. Ooh there's The Game of Life, I hope everyone chooses that one. Jordan comes in scratching his stomach which is lifting his shirt up and my focus is on Katie as her eyes are set on him, I clear my throat and her cheeks turn red. "You should get a picture of him." I tease her. "I already have and even though I've seen him in all of his glory, I still can't get enough of him. I bet you're the same way with Jon." She raises her brow suggestively. "I am." She giggles again, causing me to laugh along with her. Both of the guys are looking at us confused.
We team up. Katie and Jordan in one team, then against me and Jon together. Although you don't play in teams on The Game of Life. Both Jon and Jordan are quite competitive which is funny to witness. I can't decide who's the worst one though, as they both have their moments.

We eventually moved onto playing Monopoly. Katie ends up winning this. "Did you cheat?" I simply ask her. Both the guys go "oooh!" She shakes her head no. "Nope. I won fair and square. I concentrate real hard and watch what everyone does." I laugh as does she.
"Are you two gonna stay over?" Jon asks Jordan and Katie. She looks up at Jordan to see what he says and he looks down at her. "Yeah, we'll sleep in the living room if that's okay?" Jon stands up to fetch some spare bedding and I clear the pots into the kitchen. I didn't hear Jordan walking behind me so I'm a little surprised to see him standing right next to me. "I just want to check with you if we stay over, I don't want to make you uncomfortable?" My heart softens. "Jordan, it's fine. Jon is your brother and it's his house. He did offer." He seems to relax a little. "And Jordan, I'm sorry for being the way that I have with you. I guess we just irritate and bring out the worst in each other but I appreciate all the things you do, not just for Jon but also Katie.

She's really happy with you, I can tell." I notice a smile on his face at the mere mention of Katie. "Thanks Kelly. I'm sorry too. I'd say the same for Jon. He deserves to be happy. Maybe we can start again?" He holds his hand out for me to shake. I do so. Then we wander over to Katie and I watch as Jordan picks her up. He's so gentle with her and I have to admit, they make a cute couple.
