As the three of you left the castle and headed to where the square used to be, you noticed a few security guards. Arthur went over to them, Merlin followed him. You hung back, you had a feeling that they would think this is a prank and you all would get in trouble anyway. "I am King Arthur of Camelot. According to my friend here, you are no strangers to my name. But you are, however, strangers to how much it will affect your lives in the days to come." Arthur spoke to them. It was quiet for a moment and you could see the stunned looks on the guards faces. You couldn't blame them, if you weren't a part of this you would also be flabbergasted by the audacity of some random guy to say that, especially with a straight face.

"Just what do you think you're doing here, exactly?" One of the guards finally asked.

"It had been my intention to ask you the same question." Arthur replied.

"This property belongs to Ms. Plunket. She's hired us to keep out intruders." Another guard answered.

"Rather ambitious of her, considering that that is what she herself is." You noticed Merlin smirked and you couldn't help but smile a bit.

"But you don't consider yourself to be an intruder?" The first guard asked.

"A man cannot intrude on his own property."

"Right, because you're King Arthur." The guard spoke sarcastically and rolled his eyes.

"Glad you're catching on."

"So what are you two then?" The guard turned to you and Merlin.

"A caretaker." Merlin replied.

"The court physician." You answered. The guard looked exasperated with all of you and you turned away to hide your laugh. Merlin tried to get the guards to leave but that caused a fight between him and the guards, which Arthur obviously jumped into. Merlin knocked all of the guards out except for one and had him remove the others. "That was...violent." You commented.

"They tried to attack us. Besides, you didn't do anything." Merlin pointed out.

"I'm a pacifist. Let's just get back to the apartment before you two cause anymore trouble." You continued walking, ignoring the poor guard as he tried to figure out how to get the ten other guards off the property.

The three of you walked to the nearest bus stop. "What are we stopping for?" Arthur asked.

"We're waiting for the next bus." Merlin answered. Arthur gave you both a confused look.

"It's like a carriage. Just without a horse. And it can fit a lot more people." You explained.

"It's magic then?"

"No?"

"Then how does it go without a horse?"

"Things have changed since Camelot. The world is not the same place it once was." Merlin told him. Arthur sighed.

"I figured as much...it's a good thing you two are here then." He tried to force some optimism into his tone. You felt bad for him. He would definitely get disoriented in the modern world. Which also meant that you and Merlin would have to pay more attention to him to make sure he didn't get killed by a blender or something. To try and make Arthur feel better, Merlin showed him that he had kept the royal seal safe this whole time. "How did you get this?" Arthur asked in amazement as he accepted it.

"I may have nicked it from Leon before his coronation." Merlin admitted. Arthur chuckled a bit at him and slid the ring onto his finger.
