It had been a year since everyone learned of Morgana's actual loyalties. Things had settled down, and no one had seen or heard anything about her since then. It was like her and Morgause dropped off the face of the world. You didn't care, you enjoyed the calm moments. You got to spend time with your husband. Speaking of him, you had heard that he and Percival stole a chicken from the kitchen, leading the cook to nag you.

"Do you have to upset her, she's so...mean." you complained to Gwaine. He laughed at your words.

"Remind me again why she goes to you." he said.

"She thinks you'll listen to me and stop messing with her food." you mumbled. Gwaine chuckled, the both of you knew that he wouldn't. Percival might listen to you, but you never bothered nagging him. Gwaine pressed a kiss to your lips.

"I'm sorry that you have to deal with her." he said with a grin, when he pulled away. You rolled your eyes with a smile.

"Don't you have some knightly duties to do or something." you said, shooing him out of the physician's chambers so you could continue your work.

"Sick of me already?" he joked. You laughed and gave him a quick kiss on his lips, before he left. You then went back to work. There was going to be a feast to celebrate Samhain. You were a little excited. You were fascinated with the past and ancestors.

A bit later on in the day, Arthur had been informed by Leon and Elyan that they ran into Morgana. She was with Morgause and they were heading to the Seas of Meredor. Gwaine had told you about it, on one of his many visits to you.

Later at the banquet, Arthur gave a speech. When everyone was toasting, you felt strong magic, Merlin looked like he did too. You saw a figure flicker constantly, until she fully disappeared. Merlin had looked at her, and then fainted. You and Lancelot ran to his side. Lancelot brought Merlin to his room, and you and Gaius checked to see what was wrong with him.

"What happened?" Lancelot asked. You felt Merlin to see if he had a fever. He felt extremely cold.

"I don't know. I've never felt someone so cold before." Gaius said.

"Will he be alright?" Lancelot asked.

"I'll need Hawthrone to improve the blood flow. And blankets. Lots of blankets." Gaius said.

"I'll get the Hawthrone." you mumbled to Lancelot, he nodded and went to get the blankets. You eventually had to leave and go home, Merlin still hadn't woken up. Gwaine walked with you.

"How's Merlin?" he asked.

"He was still unconscious when I left, but I'm sure he'll be fine." you said. Gwaine nodded.

"Hey, did you see anything weird at the banquet?" you asked him. Gwaine raised an eyebrow at you.

"I saw Merlin faint." he said. You shook your head.

"No, like...like a woman...or some figure flickering. I saw it during the toast, right before Merlin fainted." you said. Gwaine gave you a concerned look and shook his head.

"I didn't see anything. Maybe your tired." he said.

"Maybe." you mumbled. The two of you arrived at your shared home. You both went to bed. You couldn't shake the feeling that something bad was going to happen soon.

The next morning, a girl named Drea had arrived in Camelot, weeping. Her village had been attacked by shapeless things. That's what she described it as anyway. The knights and Merlin were going to go to the village.

"Let me go with you." you begged Gwaine. He sighed and hugged you.

"It could be dangerous, besides, you'd need Arthur's permission to go." Gwaine said. You backed out of his embrace and gave him a determined look. You quickly darted off to find Arthur, before Gwaine could stop you. You finally found Arthur, checking to make sure he had everything he needed. He turned to you as he heard you approach.
