To recap everything that has happened in your wonky and chaotic life so far, Merlin hatched a baby dragon, named Aithusa she was white, which Merlin said it meant good things for Albion and Arthur almost started a war. He killed a king from a rival kingdom, which led the man's wife to come after Camelot for revenge. Arthur managed to get her to spare having a war by fighting, beating, and sparing a warrior from her side due to an agreement the two made. Also, you, Merlin, and Gaius, were highly suspicious of Arthur's uncle, Agravaine.

You fidgeted nervously. The knights, Arthur, and Merlin had went out to do something, you had forgotten what it was at the moment. The point is they're late. You hoped that they didn't run into any trouble. Gaius came into the room.

"They returned and are gathered in the council chamber." he informed you. The two of you quickly headed there. Gwen was there, with the knights and Arthur. You didn't see Merlin, which made you uneasy.

"Where's Merlin?" you asked, glancing at Gwaine.

"He's alive. Last I saw of him, he was still alive." Arthur informed you, which didn't comfort you in the slightest. He then turned to Leon. "Dispatch patrols at first light. Scour every inch of that forest." he commanded. Leon nodded in response.

"Yes, sire." he said. He left with the other knights, Gwaine giving you a comforting smile as he passed you.

"We'll find him." Arthur said, placing a hand on Gaius' shoulder.

Later that night, there was a council meeting where the knights would discuss their findings to the council. You normally weren't allowed to be in those meetings, due to only being an assistant and not an actual physician, but Arthur let you sit in for it because of your close relationship with Merlin. He hoped it would ease your stress in some way. When you saw the look on Leon's face when he and the other knights came in, you felt your heart sink.

"We have scoured the forest." Agravaine started.

"Scour it again." Arthur said immediately.

"Sire, there is no sign of Merlin." Leon said. Agravaine walked up to Arthur.

"None...but this." he said, pulling out a scrap of Merlin's jacket, it was bloody. You winced at the sight. "I'm sorry you lost such a loyal and..." Agravaine started, but Arthur cut him off.

"The mercenaries, what news of them?" he asked.

"We found no trace." Leon answered.

"Surely sent by that snake Alinor." Agravaine said. You didn't like how he was quick to blame him. Even if he was from a rival kingdom.

"It can't be. How? Our route was only known by a few in Camelot." Arthur said. It was true. You hadn't known where the route was, you still didn't know.

"Then there is only one conclusion we can draw." Leon started, everyone turned their attention to him. "We have a traitor in our midst." he finished. Gaius looked at Agravaine. You noticed that Agravaine was looking at you, you decided to assume it was because you normally weren't in the council meetings. The meeting ended and everyone went on there ways, it was starting to get dark out. You waited for Gwaine to get changed out of his armor so the two of you could walk home.

"I'm sorry that we haven't found him yet." Gwaine said, as the two of you walked hand in hand to your shared home.

"It's alright. I'm sure he'll show up." you responded. You had a bad feeling about something, and you couldn't quite place it. Gwaine noticed your look.

"I know you're worried, but Merlin's smart. I know he'll be okay." Gwaine assured you. He gave your hand a gentle squeeze.

The next day, you happened to be walking in the main square, when you saw Arthur, Gwaine, and Gwen talking. Arthur and Gwaine were on their horses.
