Chapter 18

It had been whole day before Jennie woke up. The doctors had told them that she could be brought home. Jennie woke up in her room with lots of flowers and cards filling up her room, but one that caught her eye was the beautiful bouquet of blue roses. She took the card and read it:

My dearest Jennie

I'm sorry for argument and hope you can forgive me. I decided to resign as your security guard and leave Paris. I realized that as long as I'm around you bad things are going to keep happening because of my past. I hope you find someone worthy of someone as a amazing and perfect as you. I hope you can forgive me for leaving and I hope you move on to someone completely different and better than me. I won't ever forget you.

Jennie put down the card and rushed out of bed. She stumbled downstairs with Kai coming to her as she was still to a bit weak. "Where is he?",she asked hoping to find him. "He's gone to the airport",Kai said softly. "How long ago",she said. "Just thirty minutes ago",Kai said. "I can still catch him please you have to drive me there!",she said helplessly. Kai wanted to tell her to forget about V and take his chance with her, but when he saw the look of desperation in her eyes he couldn't bring himself to refuse her.

The two rushed to the car and Jennie dialed V's number hoping to reach him. "Dang voicemail!",she said. "Try leaving a message maybe he'll get it and change his mind?",Kai suggested. Jennie took his advice, "V it's me, I'm trying to make it to the airport, but if I don't I want you know...I love you and I'm never going to love anyone else the way I love you, if you leave then I promise I'm going to hate you because I swear I won't believe in love ever again, what happened to your promises, wherever I am you are and if you ever leave me for another girl I'll kill her...just please come back to me please don't leave me here".

Kai noticed the hurt in her voice and realized something extremely important. "You really love him don't you?",he said. "More than life itself",she said sniffing as she had begun crying while she talked over the phone. "We'll find him",he said. "V I know you can't talk back right now, but when you get this please call me back", she said.

Kai began to swerve as he noticed the brakes weren't working. "Kai what's happening?",Jennie yelled still holding the phone to her ear. "The brakes are failing!",he yelled. "V our brakes aren't working...I don't know what's going to happen, but I love -
