My Protector

Chapter 21

"Jisoo",Lisa said shocked to her core. V recognized her as one of the girls who the company had briefed him on when he first met Jennie. Jisoo and Rosé were her sisters who she no longer talked to. "What are you doing here?",Lisa asked. "We're here for our sister", Rosé said coming around the corner along with a woman and a little girl with a striking resemblance to Jennie. It was Jennie's mom and step sister Ella.

V stepped forwards, "What's the news about Jennie doctor?" "She's stable, but there's a chance she could've lost her memory",he said regretfully. "What?",Nayeon said. " She hit her head in the accident and it might've caused her memory lost, but we won't know until she wakes up". "When will that be?", Rosé asked. "Just a few minutes, only one can go in and see her",he said. "V you should go", Jungkook said. "No, you're her mother so you should go in",he said turning to the woman behind him. She looked at him with tears in her eyes, but she smiled nonetheless, "No my son, I have seen the news about two and clearly she loves you very much, she always tends to push people away, but you managed to break her shell so go in I don't mind at all".

"Gam sa ham ni da",he said which means thank you. V followed the doctor into Jennie's room. The nurses and doctor left them alone as Jennie sat up and stared at V with a blank expression. "I know you must hate me",V said. "Why would I ?",she asked. V's heart stopped as she asked him why, does this mean she really doesn't remember anything?

"No...Jennie please remember we fought a few days ago and you were mad and you met my dad,I thought you'd be better of without me, but I need you to remember please come back to me!",he sobbed thinking she had lost her memory. He began to cry as he turned his back to her....

Jennie broke the silence:

I'm sorry I can't remember anything...but I already know that you're important to me and I want to try and fix our relationship.

V turned and walked towards her, "Are you sure...". Jennie stretched her arms out to him for a hug held her tight, but he couldn't help feeling the difference in the hug. Jennie however felt safe and didn't want to let go so she scooted over and invited V to sit. V sat on the half of the hospital bed with  lying on his chest. "Tell me about us",Jennie said. "I started out as your bodyguard, then we became friends and we talked about our pasts, family relationships and the more we learnt about each other the more we fell for one another",he said making Jennie blush. "Its good to have you in my arms again",he whispered making her nuzzle in closer.

A few days past and Jennie had met with Lisa, Jungkook, Nayeon,Scott and her family. She had even forgotten why she had a bad relationship with her family in the first place. Maybe it all happened for the best? Jennie and V are happy, Lisa and Jungkook support them all the way and Jennie has been reconciled with her family...
