Jennie Kim has been receiving death threats and requires a new bodyguard to travel with her between tours, countries and pretty much everywhere. But what happens when she is assigned a handsome new bodyguard her own age.
"What's on my agenda?",Jennie asked looking out the window as they were driving. "First soundcheck, then you can meet the director for your upcoming film,a visit to the new trainees at YG and then lunch",he said. "That's all?",she asked considering the fact that she usually had a packed schedule. "No that's only your morning schedule",he said. She nodded her head as they stopped at her first appointment.
As they entered the building Jennie was immediately met with her head of crew, Scott, who wanted to try out a new prop with her. This required Jennie to change into some more comfortable clothes which Taehyung had provided for her. They connected her to a harness for safety, "Does the performance really require me to fly?",Jennie asked frantically. "No it's not like the song's called "Fly away",Scott said sarcastically. Jennie gave him a glare as she prepared to be lifted. "Maybe she would be more comfortable if someone went up with her?",one of the crew members suggested.
Scott's eyes immediately traveled to Taehyung who was sitting in the stands watching the rehearsal. "Um...you what's your name?",he asked. "Me...um Taehyung",he said cautiously. "Get up here so you can join Jennie on the harness so she'll be more comfortable",he said waving Taehyung over. "I don't think that's necessary is it?", Taehyung said trying to avoid the situation. "Taehyung please",Jennie pleaded folding her hands together along with a puppy dog face that made him melt. He reluctantly agreed and headed towards the stage. As they connected him he could feel his heart start to race, not because he was scared, but because he was nervous about being so close to Jennie.
Scott clapped his hands twice and both harnesses immediately shot up rising to the sky. Jennie let out a scream as she clutched onto Taehyung's shirt unintentionally pulling him closer to her which made their hearts drop. "Perfect hold that pose!" "WE NEED THAT IN THE PERFORMANCE!", Scott yelled while pointing up to the two of them. Jennie let go of Taehyung's shirt, "Get me down now!",she said frustrated. The harnesses came down with Jennie immediately unhooking hers first and walking over to Scott. "Are you serious about having him in the performance?",she asked. "Absolutely!!" "He's absolutely mesmerizing with that face and you look gorgeous together darling!",Scott said enthusiastically.
Jennie turned to Taehyung who was just as puzzled as she was. "Do you have a nickname I can call you by?",Scott asked looking at Taehyung. "Uh...a nickname?",he wondered. "Yes like I call Jennie dumpling because of her cheeks or Jen because it saves time",Scott said in a overdramatic tone. "Well, my friends call me V or Tae for short",he answered. "Oh Tae...like Tae Tae and JK" (Jennie Kim not Jungkook)
"Let's go...V",Jennie said claiming his nickname. His eyebrows shot up as he followed her to the car. Jennie stayed silent for a while during the car ride to the film set of her new production "Lonesome".
The car came to a sudden holt, "What's the matter?",Jennie asked moving to the middle to get a better view. "We're in a little bit of a traffic jam",V said looking back at her. Jennie sat back and waited in agony. "What's your film about?",V asked hoping to lift her spirits. Jennie looked up a little shook, "Um ... it's about a girl whose disconnected with her family then she meets this guy who tries to help her reconnect with them basically",she said summarizing it for him. "Is it a love story?",he asked.
"Never",she said shooting him a look in the rear view mirror. "I don't believe in love",she said staring down at her feet. "What's wrong with love?",he asked. "It's not all women are good for you know, women can have a happy life without a companion distracting her all the time",she said fully confident. V smiled at her statement. "Very well said Miss Kim, but I have to disagree",he said. "Number one I know it was a good statement because it's true and two, why do you disagree?" "A woman doesn't need a man, but doesn't she want a family of her own?" "A man brings a sense of comfort for her and she feels safe and secure with him". Jennie pondered this for a brief moment then replied, "How do you know this?". "I don't I just hope to be that man for a woman one day",he said glancing in the rear view mirror. "I can't deny that I haven't wanted to find someone",Jennie admitted. "I knew it!",V said excitedly. "What do you look for in a man?". "I want someone just for me, I want to be someone's number one priority and with one look he would know what I feel inside, we don't have to live in million dollar building maybe even in a flat so our kids could interact with others and have a normal life, I want someone who God took the time to create just for me and when he holds me in his arms for the first time I'll know that the angels have been watching over us for all our lives guiding us to find each other".
V looked into the rear view mirror and this time his gaze stayed fixed on Jennie's beautiful kitty eyes that we're glowing with desire and passion. "The car in front of you is gone V drive,"she said snapping him out of his gaze. V hit the gas to their second stop of the day.
