Chapter 10: Long Live King Houdini

So Brutus led James to the gallows, as the plan was to basically copy Robin Hood. He then put James' head in the noose and didn't tighten it, but instead left it as it was. He then pulled a lever that opened a trap door and out of nowhere, an arrow shot the rope so that it broke.

Buster dusted his shoulders off in pride and Kendra pole vaulted over the castle wall. Then she proclaimed,
"Long live King Houdini!" Then the townspeople stormed the castle. Snowball looked nervous. Draco and the two children flew overhead and Una was with the castle stormers.
"Fly, my children!" she exclaimed, looking up proudly.
Joyful Starry Smile made a screeching noise.
"Daddy, I made a dragon noise!" she said.
"Very good, my dear!" he said proudly.
"Ha, that's nothing! Watch this!" said Gelbanth, as he snorted and fire shot through his nose and landed on a castle spire.

Then, King Houdini rode in the castle on his horse and said,
"What's going on here?" The crowd went wild and chanted his name:
"HOUDINI! HOUDINI! HOUDINI!"
"Brother! I wasn't expecting you to come back so soon!" Snowball exclaimed in surprise.
"I got an anonymous letter requesting my immediate return. Would you like me to read it?"
"No, anything but that!"
"Dear Houdini, Your dear sister has usurped your throne in your absence! Please return as soon as possible. Love, your loyal subject."

"That was my work, your Highness!" Kendra yelled, still on the castle wall.
"Well, it would be a great honor if you would kindly introduce yourself."
"Kendra Gregoriovitch, your majesty! Daughter of Kenneth and Barbara Gregoriovitch! And that man in the gallows is my one and only love, James Whisp, son of Paul and Genevieve Whisp! We both study magic!"

"Very nice to make both of your acquaintances! Now get down from there before you end up like Humpty Dumpty!" "As you wish, Highness." she jumped backwards and both James and Houdini cried out in unison,
"NO!" She landed on the hugbear safely. She got off The Hug Bear and he rolled over to stand on his 4 legs and Kendra hopped on his back and they both went back to the gallows. James immediately ran to his love. "My love, I thought you perished!"

"Snowball, you're in big trouble!" Houdini shouted. Snowball slowly backed away from her balcony seat. She tried to run away, but the guards caught her.
"You heard the king. You're in trouble." "We've been tired of your shenanigans for a year."

They then dragged her down to the gallows. They put her in front of King Houdini and forced her on her knees and King Houdini got off his horse and said,
"What do you have to say for yourself?"
"I'm sorry, brother. I just felt like Mother and Father loved you more than me. So I decided to take my anger and frustration out on your subjects, who also loved you more. Everyone does."

"I never knew you felt this way, dear sister."
"It's not my fault I didn't say anything."
"Well, then I pardon you, as long as you promise to never do it again." The crowd cheered and Kendra made eye contact with James and held his hand. He then dipped her and almost kissed her when Florentine said, "Hey, we still have a show to put on!" He then conjured a microphone and passed it to Snowball and said,
"Come on, dear. I'm sure you have something to say!"
