Free... For Now

Guns and Wounds

I teleport to the room where I heard the gunshots and there I see the king on the ground. I look at him and realize he has a gap in his stomach a gun wound I rush over to him and tear some fabric off my dress applying it to his wound. The gun wound was on his right lung.

"Ok luckily he will be able to survive with one lung" I tell Noah

"Aroura... he was born with one lung," he whispers but enough for me to hear him "He was born with his right lung..."

"I can still save him" 

I keep on applying pressure and doing CPR

"WAKE UP!" I yell out

I never realized Noah and his mom were both watching me but I never cared. I pinch his nose and put my mouth to his giving him some air but with the puncture in his lung it wouldn't work. I can't let Noah's dad die I just can't. I applied more pressure and kept doing CPR until I hear a crack me of his ribs were broken and I could hear Noah sobbing behind me. After what seemed like hours of doing CPR I finally accepted the fact that he was gone.

"Well Aroura?" His mom asks me

"I relly tried..." I sigh looking down "Whoever did this was smart in knowing which lung he was born with" 

Noah is now fully in tears and I let him collapse onto my arms and I take him to his room not caring about the pain in my leg. I set him down on his bed and went to go get a bath for him and come back to him crying his knees to his chest.

"Darling I am so sorry" I go over to him and sit next to him pulling him into my chest "I tried so much if I could go back and save him I would"

"It's not your fault starlight..." He whispers into my chest

"Do you want to go out and fly later to de stress?" I ask him cupping his face in my hands

"Sure" He smiles

I put my forehead to his and sigh. We both close our eyes and just stay in the moment for a few seconds.

"OH SHIT THE BATH!" I yell out getting up and going to the bathroom where the tub is almost overflowing so I stop the water and drain some of it. I hear someone laughing through sobs and I smile at the fact I could make him laugh.

but I am still thinking

I need to find the bastard that killed his father and I won't res until I do that's a promise
