Winter: All For Nothing (Part 1)

A/n: Took a while but here you go. Inspired by song of same title and "college you" (check it out if you haven't)

Another day of school began and you were definitely not looking forward to it. You just started college and it was a race.

With all the content heavy subjects introduced, you barely had any time to catch a breather.

As you rested your head on the table to get some sleep, the class teacher walked in with a familiar girl closely following behind.

"Morning class, today we have a special person that will be joining us from today onwards. You all might know her but I'll let her introduce herself." Your teacher said before stepping aside for the girl.

"hi everyone, I'm Winter. You can call me Minjeong. Nice to meet you all..." The girl said as cheers can be heard coming from the class.

Upon hearing that name, you lifted up your head surprised to see her. The girl that you were idolising. Peeking at your phone lock screen and looking back up, you couldn't believe your eyes.

Endless nights were spent fanboying over her and now Minjeong was right in front of you.

Furthermore, she was in your class. You mentally slapped yourself awake to make sure you weren't dreaming.

"Class, please take care of Minjeong. Minjeong, you can take any empty seats that you like." The teacher said as Minjeong scanned the room for possible seats.

Seeing everyone wave at her to sit beside them, Minjeong was stressed out. She knew that her reputation as a girl group member wouldn't make things easy.

Enrolling into college was a choice Minjeong made. She wanted to experience what it's like to be a student living a normal life. At least for a short while before Aespa had their next comeback.

It was going to be tough to experience such a thing with all the unwanted attention she was getting as Winter. Everyone must be wanting to be friends with a famous girl group member.

Crossing your fingers and looking down at your desk, you were secretly hoping that Minjeong would take the seat next to you but you didn't want to pressure her any further like the others did.

Looking around the room, Minjeong landed her eyes on the seat next to you. You were the only one who seemed like you didn't know her identity and she was glad. Maybe experiencing a normal student life was possible with you.

Walking over to you, Minjeong sat on the seat next to you while putting down her bag. You were taken back by the sudden movement beside you.

"Hi..."

"Hi, you're Minjeong right? I'm y/n. Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too y/n."

You tried to keep your composure as you internally fanboyed over your bias talking to you.

As you were caught up in the moment, stares were directed at you from all over the room. Everyone was envious of you sitting beside the Winter. Who wouldn't.

Class went on and you were busy paying attention to what was taught. A little too busy to notice Minjeong being clueless next to you.

Minjeong knew college was going to be tough so she tried reading up on all the modules whenever she was free. Nonetheless, such effort was wasted when she realised she couldn't keep up with the lecture.

Time flew by and it was almost the end of school. More importantly, lunch time. Minjeong was still as confused as ever while you continued jotting down notes on today's lesson. Oblivious of the current situation beside you.
