Winter: All For Nothing (Part 2)

Standing in front of SM main building, you weren't exactly sure how you could find Minjeong. The building was huge and Minjeong might not even be in it.

You figured it was worth a try to approach the reception counter for help if it meant a chance to see Minjeong. Even if it's just for a short while.

"Hi... May I know where I can find Minjeong? Erm, I mean Winter from Aespa." You asked.

"Sorry, we don't entertain fans. You have to leave now before I call security." The receptionist replied.

"But I'm not a fan... I am Winter's friend. You can check with her if you like to. Tell her it's y/n."

The receptionist totally ignored whatever you just said. She probably encountered this scenario way too often, considering how she didn't even pay attention to you and continued doing her work.

Looks like it was a futile attempt. You sighed as you walked away, failing to notice a girl approaching you.

"Ouchh" You heard the girl exclaim after bumping into her.

"Sorry Miss, I must've not been paying attention to my surroundings. Please forgive me." You said.

Getting back up on your feet, you saw the person you knocked into was Karina.

Though it was kind of amazing to see her in person, a wave of relief was the first thing you felt. She appeared like your savior. Your attempt to find Minjeong might not be in vain after all.

"It's ok, so you are y/n? Minjeong has been talking a lot about you lately. Finally I have the chance to meet the person himself. I heard that you are looking for Minjeong? She's currently at the dorm preparing for her exams. How may I help you?" Karina softly spoke.

"Oh... Minjeong's not around... Can you help me pass these notes to her? Also, tell her not to be so hard on herself and take regular breaks when studying." You said, handing over the notes to Karina.

Deep down, you were quite disappointed that you wouldn't be able to see Minjeong. She must have her reasons. It had been weeks since you last saw her and you missed her.

She was the reason you looked forward to attending class everyday and now that motivation is gone.

"Sure! I'm certain Minjeong would appreciate the notes and your concern. Maybe you would like to leave your number and messenger id behind? I can get Minjeong to add you so you two can chat." Karina answered.

"It's fine... I don't want to cause a distraction to her studies. She must have a lot on her plate right now."

"How about you add me instead? I can keep you updated about Minjeong if you like." Karina suggested.

You thought it wasn't a bad idea. Giving your messenger id to Karina and adding your contact number to her phone, you bowed to the girls before taking your leave.

Strolling back to your apartment, your phone notification went off.

"Yu Ji Min added you as a friend"

Quickly adding her back, you started thinking about how lucky you were. Getting Karina's contact. More importantly, a way to check on Minjeong without bothering her.

You smiled at the welcome message from Karina. Despite her cold appearance, Karina was really as warm as how she was shown on the big screen. You typed a brief reply to her before continuing your day.
