Makin' our way to the hotel Charisma was quiet and starin' off which meant she was overthinking. Over the years with my wife she cling to our kids and when both Chasity and Ayden left to college she was an emotional wreck and rightfully so. She check on them regularly and make sure they never overworked themselves to be perfect.
"Baybeh what you thinkin bout?" I asked looking at her for a second before looking back at the road
"That my child is lying to me and I don't know what I can do as a mom, I don't want to end up like my mother-"
"Aunt Lauren is your mother." I corrected her although Aunt Lauren passed a few months ago because the cancer came back and harsher than before treatments wasn't helping and it wasn't nothing else we could do
"I miss her." She sighed "I'm serious August the last she lied she was in a deep depression and-" She stopped herself before talking "I need to know that she'll be okay here by herself in another state I can't lose my child I can't go through that type of pain." Her eyes watered making me pull over the side of the street we was on
"Baybeh listen she gone be aight, you wanna know why? Because we always gon make sure of that. You gotta calm down mama. " I grabbed her face and kissed her to calm her down over the years Charisma developed bad anxiety that would lead to panic attacks we had it under control with her meds now but it was times to where she couldn't control them at all
"I'm just scared." She admitted
"And that's normal if you want too we can start coming every weekend or so and make sure we come to her meets. Ion like missin her shit." I frowned at the thought
"Now you're the one frowning." She smiled and rubbed my cheek "We only had to miss this one due to the twins being sick, she understands that."
"I don't want her thinkin' it's gon be a regular thing either. When you invite that lul boy?" I asked changin the subject.
"Josh, but I did it on the plane when you were sleep." She sighed "I really hope he didn't do anything to hurt my baby August." She looked at me.
"Ion know but we gon find out tonight tho."
"Please don't make a scene August."
"I'll try." With that being said we pulled off and headed to the hotel

"Girl calm down you're making my ass nervous and I'm not even going." Miya said as my leg bounced up and down as I slicked my hair up into a ponytail, I was over the wig so I decided on taking it off and wearing my natural hair for a while and let my hair breath for a few weeks and get braids.
"Miya." Kenya cut her eye at her "You know what she's been through these last couple of months don't be inconsiderate. She has every right to be nervous because she has to hope pussy ass Josh don't run his month to her parents who I remind you are protective of her they were already iffy about her coming LA." She spoke with her accent peeking through you could tell this was bothering her as well "So I'm more than positive that they're going to be upset with not only at Josh but that the fact that they daughter didn't come to them at the most traumatic event to happen to her." With that being said she got up grabbed her phone and left out
"What wrong with K?" I asked Miya once she left out
"Shes taking you losing the baby a little hard because she knew something was off she just couldn't put them together, so to hear it come from you that you went through something as bad as that she hated that, we weren't there for you like we would've been, I hope you didn't take what i said to the heart I'm sorry." She said looking at me sincerely
