CH. 13

"Mom— Momma It's okay, calm down, I survived, I'm fine im still alive" You giggled, embracing your sobbing mother into your arms. "God, what happened?!" Your dad spoke up soon after your crying sesion.

"I forgot to lock my window.. the maniac broke in and tried to kill me. He left me a note though." You said, trying to remember the night again. "Yes yes we know, the police did a slight crime scene search and found the letter, it's in DNA testing at the moment and they said they'll update us when they find something new to lead with" He continued as he stood next to your mother who was sitting on the chair the doctor previously used.

You slightly yawn, wincing as you literally felt the biggest jab of pain spread around your throat. "Oh honey— I'll go get a nurse, the medicine must be wearing off. Love, hold (y/s) for me please." Your mom said worriedly, handing your sibling to your dad and doing a slight jog out of the room into the hallway.

Everything went too slowly. Tears pricked at the corners of your eyes as you felt like the pain would never stop. Your father rubbed soothing circles on your hand as you tried focusing on your breathing.

After what felt like years a nurse came in, switching out a little baggy that was connected to your arm by tube on a weird pole thing. "If you need anything there's the bell, press it and a staff member will be sent to assist you. Your doctor should be here soon to give you your prescribed painkillers and any other medication" The nurse said, pointing to a button and running out to treat the other patients.

"We have to hurry to work, we promise we'll be back later okay?" Your mom spoke softly, gently petting your hair and kissing your forehead. You give them a small smile as you lay back down on your hospital bed. They always looked so uncomfortable and the mattresses looked so stiff but damn. This was like the most comfortable bed you've ever laid in.

You heard the door open and close as the first doctor that was in your room came in. "Hi mister (L/N)! Im just here to give you your painkillers, since your throat is slashed I don't recommend talking a lot and i advise you to eat liquid foods like soups." She said, approaching your bed and looking at you. "Well- since you can't swallow the pill, I put it in water so it can dissolve, it should be ready for consumption in around 5 minutes." she continued to speak for a few minutes, telling you how to treat your wound and what diet is best after you get released.
