"I can feel you grinning you doofus" He chuckled again, pulling away to stare at your flushed and tear stained face. "Shut up." You giggled again, your voice strained and hoarse as you bumped his shoulder.
"Aren't you supposed to be somewhere soon?" He chuckled, reminding you of your promise to Sasha. This made you jump up, letting out a small 'shit' under your breath as you went upstairs to change into some more clean clothes, nearly tripping on your way up.
This made Jeff only laugh at your demeanor as you soon made your way back down in record time, he was almost impressed.
"How long are you planning on staying there?" He said as you were standing by the front door, putting on your shoes.
"Maybe for the morning to see how she's holding up, she has to rest up either way so i'll probably leave around lunch time." You said finally after you thought about your answer.
He only hummed at that. "Nice, text me when you'll be leaving so I can start making lunch." This surprised you, causing you to turn around and stare at him for a second.
After getting over your initial shock you smiled his way, nodding slightly. "Will do, thanks.."
"No problem, it's the least I can do to take some weight off of your shoulders." His comment made you feel all warm and fuzzy, you felt so grateful that he cared so much for your well-being
You both exchanged a glance before you murmured a goodbye before leaving to go to the hospital and visit Sasha. You pulled out your phone to text her, hoping she would be able to reply since you were not 100% sure she even had her phone on her person.
