Tyler's POV

Percy and his friends were only visiting camp for a couple days, so we had to pack today.

I had already said goodbye to my brother, and he promised he would see me again soon.

I was in front of the apartment door. Percy and his friends were fooling around in the lobby.

I got bored of waiting for them, so I got my key out and opened the door.

Mommy and Daddy weren't home, so why did I hear noise from the living room?

I took off my shoes, a and slowly and quietly walked to the room.

I sucked in my breath. It was a Greek monster.
A Hydra.

I quickly tip toed into the kitchen and grabbed a knife.

I ran back out, being sure to make noise.

It turned, but other than that it didn't move. I took my chances.

I ran at it, and sliced off a head. I remembered you have to burn the heads, so I tried to think of something fiery.

I felt warmth on my hand. Fire. it was on my hand.

My hand was on fire and it didn't hurt.

They hydra head had already grown back, so while it was distracted, I cut off another head, and set it on fire. I repeated the process, until only one head was left. I cut it, burned it, and It exploded into golden dust.

Percy's POV

We were all walking up the stairs, bit Tyler wasn't outside the door. She might've gone inside.

We saw monster dust everywhere.

"I found Tyler!" Piper said.

Tyler was laying in the floor, covered in monster dust, holding a kitchen knife.

I took the knife out of her hand.
