BIRTHDAY BLAST

A month flew by quickly and we missed Nicole a lot, but we were in touch through facebook, Skype and Whatsapp. She had settled there and started her school too. Cassie and I had grown closer and our bond of friendship became stronger. But I still missed being with Tyler; I felt like a part of my life was missing and I cried over him in the showers. But I made a new friend, Drake. He is my classmate and we chat on facebook almost every minute of our day, except school. And yesterday he asked for my phone number too, which means we could talk on phone too.

"Hey Summer! Wanna hangout with me and Adam after school?" I heard Cassie from behind me. 

"Sure... can I bring a friend along?"

"Who?"

"Drake..."

"Sure... see ya around!"

"Bye"

Now Drake could mix up with my friends too. He already is Adam's friend so it'll be easy. 

I took my seat next to Cassie in class and we were soon joined by Sophia and Emma.  

"Hey!" I smiled and greeted them both.

"Hey!" They chorused. Emma is our new friend.

Mr. Walker, our mathematics teacher, entered the class. "Hello students. Today we will start trigonometry." I love mathematics and I started solving the problems.

After school Sophia, Emma, Cassie, Adam, Drake and I met at the main gate and headed to Cassie's place to hangout. Cassie and Adam went in Adam's car; I with Drake in his car and Sophia and Emma in Sophia's car. As I climbed in the passenger seat Drake took the driver's seat and we sped off to Cassie's place with me giving directions to Drake.  

"How was your day?" Drake asked me.

"It was great. What about you?"

"It was pretty boring actually. Lets continue our game of truth and dare from last night!"

"Sure! I start! Who was your first crush?"

"It was a girl from my neighborhood actually, when I was 10, Leah. I never met her after we moved in here." He blushed a little.

"Ooh...! Cute name" I giggled.

We continued this game till we reached Cassie's place. Drake was a sweet guy. Always happy. He had brown hair which looked messy all the time but suited him very well and he had piercing green eyes and he was wearing a white button-up shirt with first two buttons open which showed his..... Oh god! I was checking him out. I should stop, I thought.

We spent the evening having fun and Drake dropped me off at my place.

"Thanks and good night Drake!" I wished him as I climbed out of his car.

"No problem Summer. Good night. Take care." and with this he sped off.

It's my birthday in 2 days, I thought as I entered my house. I was excited about it, I mean who isn't? I was thinking about my party and I recalled what happened last year.

*FLASHBACK*

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUMMER...!" everyone exclaimed as I entered my living room after trick-o-treating, yeah...my birthday is on 31st October on Halloween. I was astonished to see my living room decorated with colorful balloons and every face in this room was known to me, my friends.
