Hoping for the best but expecting the worse…

Drake’s P.O.V.

I am in deep shit. This was the only thing I could say about me. How did I even forget about the bet on the first place? And when Summer told me what happened with her, I assumed that they must have forgotten. But I was wrong. I should have told her about it, but I didn’t. Now, I had to tell Summer everything.

Before Nathan tells her.

Said my subconscious mind. Nathan was already angry, I shouldn’t have said too much. But I was angry at him for-

“Dude!” a voice interrupted my thoughts. It was then I remembered that I was still at Blake’s place.

“Yeah…” I said, absentmindedly.

“This was too much of drama.” Said Layla.

“What now?” Blake asked me.

“I don’t know.” I mumbled.

“But, what if Nathan tells Summer about this?” Cam asked.

“She won’t believe.” Blake said “You know how she is, she won’t believe a word… but she will surely ask you about it.” He spoke, looking in my direction.

“Will you tell her the truth, or will you lie?” asked Cam.

I couldn’t think of anything, everything was messed up, I needed some alone time. I opened my mouth to say something but nothing came out.

“Of course he’ll lie!” said Blake.

“No!” Layla said, looking angry at her boyfriend.

Then she turned to face me, “You won’t lie Drake because if by any chance she comes to know the truth, she’ll be hurt. And you know that truth is bound to reveal, sooner or later.” She said.

“But even when-”

“Guys!” I said, a bit loudly.

Everyone turned their attention to me. I smiled at them; I know it’s stupid because in a situation like this, I shouldn’t be smiling.

“I’ll see what I can do; I just need some time to think. See you all.” With this I turned around to leave.

Summer’s P.O.V.

I woke up to the sound of my cell phone. I saw myself sprawled on my bed in a really weird pose. Ignoring the pain in my limbs which was because of my weird sleeping pose, I searched for the device that woke me. Finally I found it somewhere near my bed stand. I frowned when I saw it was an unknown number. I groaned because I was sick of these calls. It could be Tyler or even my new stalker.

Urgh…

I picked up my phone, hoping for the best but expecting the worse.

“Hello?” I said, my voice was hoarse, but no reply came.
