Once Tyler flew back to Dallas I could still feel the lingering presence of his disapproval in the air like an invisible barrier. I don't even talk to Auston so I don't know why it was bothering me that much, it's not like I will see him again.

I decided to head to a nearby park in Toronto to study since classes had just started. I was taking in as much of the warm air in Toronto as possible before the bitter winter rolled in. I sat at the park doing my work and as the sun began to set I started to walk home.

I was lost in my thoughts, I didn't notice the person walking towards me until it was too late. I bumped into the person jolting me back into reality.

"I am so sorry" a man's voice exclaimed as I bent down to pick up my bag I had dropped "I wasn't looking where I was going"

I looked up and my eyes met his dark brown eyes. It was Auston. Agin the world began to fade and everything Tyler told me slipped out of my mind

"It's okay" I replied, a smile gracing my face. "I wasn't paying attention either"

Austons eye twinked with understanding, his voice was laced with sincerity. "Perhaps I should properly introduce myself I'm Auston Matthews I remember seeing you at the charity event"

I hesitated for a moment, thinking about the risks and complexities of an imaginary situation. I knew what I felt at the charity event and had to find out for myself it was real

"Brooklyn" I say as I extend my hand "Brooklyn Seguin"

I was thrilled to have finally got a chance to meet him, he walked with me through the park. As we walked we talked like we had been old friends catching up. It felt natural. I did not want it to end. As we reached the end of the park I knew It was time to part our ways but then Auston stopped

"I know this is last minute but do you want to grab something to eat? I know a place down the street" he asked

I paused for a moment, considering this invitation. There was a spark between us, a connection that I couldn't ignore.

"I'd love to," I replied, my voice filled with anticipation. "Lead the way."

We made our way to a cute little restaurant and we took a seat outside. The light of the city and the sun going down created a warm and inviting ambiance that created an intimate setting for our conversation. We got settled in, and both pursued the menus, exchanging glances and playful banter

Over the course of dinner, we delved into deeper conversation, sharing part of our lives with one another. We laughed, connecting more and more. As the evening unfolded, Austons genuine nature and ability to make me feel seen and understood captivated me.

We spent hours at the restaurant talking and sharing laughs. By the time we were ready to leave it was already dark and the bustling city of Toronto was calm. Auston offered to drive me home.

Once we had reached my apartment we exchanged social media and phone numbers. For a second there was silence in the car but it was not awkward silence but a comforting silence. His eyes looked back at mine.

"I'm glad I finally had a chance to properly meet you" Auston spoke breaking the silence

"I am too" I said giving him a smile back

"I would love to spend more time with you"

"I would love that" I said I smile

Then Auston leaned in from the driver's seat, placed his hand gently on my face and placed a small kiss on my lips. The sparks started to fly and I felt butterflies and chills all through my body as he pulled away. We both smiled and shared a small giggle. I grabbed the handle of the door

"See you soon Auston" I said with a beaming smile on my face

"Not soon enough" He smiled back at me

The entire way up to my apartment I was smiling ear to ear, I could feel the heat on my cheeks from blushing to hard. Once I made it to my apartment I plopped on the couch gabbing a pillow and squealed
