Chapter 9

It had been a week since everything and I was completely miserable. I hadn't told a soul what had happened. I was too hurt and honestly quite embarrassed. Auston had tried calling multiple times, texted 100 times, and even stopped by my apartment but I just ignored his knocks. I had gone radio silent.

I decided I couldn't be alone right now, so I went to Tyler's. He is back in Canada now. I didn't even call or text him, I just showed up .

I stood on his front porch and took a deep breath before knocking. When he opened the door I didn't even give him a chance to speak. I just hugged him and started to cry.

Tyler's brother's intuition kicked in and he knew what it had to have been about, so he didn't ask any questions. He brought me inside and sat me on the couch and held me as I cried.

After a while of crying Tyler brought me over a mixed drink and some goldfish.

"Alright let's talk" he said cracking open his drink

"I don't want to talk about it"

"Is that because no matter how bad whatever happened you are still going to stay with him or is it because you think I am going to kill him"

I looked up at him Tyler couldn't have said it any better then that

"Both" I said hiding my face

"Well I won't kill him"

"He cheated on me"

"I take back what previously said I'm going to kill him"

"I know I am dumb if I go back"

"Do you love him" Tyler looked at me and said sincerely

"I do" I said without hesitation

I explained to Tyler everything that had happened and he looked completely disgusted that anyone could do that to me. I could tell all he wanted to say was, "I told you so" but he held it back because he saw how fragile I was. But we continued to talk and I continued to cry at moments.

"I can't tell you not to go back Brooklyn" Tyler started

"But if you do trust me on this, if he tries to make excuses for it.... Then he isn't really sorry about it"

I nodded my head at him and then he walked over to me and kissed the top of my head

"I gotta go to bed I have a work out in the morning make me up if you need anything"

He headed to bed and I sat on the couch alone. I was exhausted from crying but I still couldn't sleep playing everything over and over again in my head.

After about two hours of sitting along with just my thoughts I decided to go to bed. I grabbed the comforter off the guest bed and headed to Tyler's room and settled myself on the floor.

I woke up and Tyler had already gone to his workout. I walked out into the kitchen and saw some flowers, fruit, and a strawberry donut which was my favorite with a note that said

"I'll be back at 11, love ya Ty"

The flowers brought a smile to my face, Tyler was the best at finding small ways to make me feel better.

I finally stopped to look at my phone that has been on DND for about 24 hours. I had a message from Steph

Steph: Hey I haven't seen you in a while are things okay? I saw Auston yesterday. He looked like a wreck. Are you guys okay?

Brooklyn: Hey yea things are fine, I'm at my brothers I wanted to surprise him

Steph: Aww that's so sweet! Have a good time, let's go out when you get back!

Brooklyn: I could use a girls night honestly how does Friday night sound?

Steph: Oh I think you can read minds! Perfect! Friday night girls night!

I didn't particularly want to go out but I needed to go out and have some fun. Even if i had to force myself to do it.
