Harley ~

I was at Jack's door. I knocked once and he came out. His hair was disheveled and he looked like he had been sleeping.

"What's up Harley?" He asked rubbing his eyes.

"I'm going to run away, are you in?" I asked hopefully.

"Sure, please tell me it's not tonight," He said, "I'm not packed and I'm really tired."

"No, tomorrow. I'm going to find my dad, you're going to need to be packed by midnight tomorrow, that's when we're leaving," I said.

"Okay, we're going to need some money, I'll get that and you get us a ride," Jack said.

"I can't drive and neither can you, I'm not about to steal a car so we're going to get a cab," I said.

"We're also going to need snacks," Jack said.

"Got it covered," I said showing him a loaf of bread and peanut butter I stole from the kitchen.

"You're prepared, aren't you?" He asked and I nodded.

"Listen, when I find my dad, you can stay with us if you want but I do understand if you want to leave," I said.

"I think it's time for me to get it on my own, I'll stay with you until you find your dad though," Jack said.

"Thanks," I said. I ran back to my room to start packing up what little I had. I pushed my file and my mom's diary into a knapsack. I also put the food in there as well along with some clothes. I was ready to go and I had to wait one more day before I could. All I wanted to do was to go after my father and I had to wait one more agonizing day.
