Harley ~
"Thanks for dropping me off at the diner, Jack," I said giving a smile.
"No problem, hope it works out with your dad," He said, "Here keep this." He handed me a phone number.
"Thanks," I said.
"If you need a friend, or someone to talk to," He said with a slight nod of his head. We hugged and he kissed me on my head. "See you, maybe," He said walking off.
"See you, probably," I said waving good bye and he was gone. I looked around the diner and found a cracked leather booth. This place was really tacky. Cracked leather seats were every where and as far as I could tell all the tables were sticky with syrup or some kind of food. The only reason why I chose this diner was because of their bacon cheese burgers, they were like heaven here. I sat in my booth and ordered my burger and waited for my father to show up. After about a half hour I was about ready to leave when I saw the coolest car I've ever seen drive up next to the window, it was a sixty-seven Cheverolet Impala. Surely enough a really tall man with shaggy hair came out followed by none other than my father. Oh my gosh, oh my gosh he actually showed up, I didn't expect this to happen. What was I going to do? I'm going to die of nervousness if I don't do something. They walked into the diner and started looking around. I gathered all my courage and shot my hand up. Dean saw it and he and Sam started walking over. I got up to greet them.
"Who are you?" Dean said sitting across from me next to Sam.
"Um, well I think we better get acquainted first," I said trying to stall.
"Okay I'm Dean and this is Sam, who are you?" Dean said.
"Okay, I'm Harley if you're going to be like that," I shot at him. He didn't even know me and I could tell he didn't like me. This is going to be hard, I thought.
"Why did you call us here?" Sam asked.
"To be fair I only called Dean but you are welcome to come along," I said as and insult. These guys were getting on my nerves.
"Stop with the crap, why are we here?" Dean asked defensive.
"You're here because my mom told me to call you," I said.
"What? Why?" Dean asked.
"She was killed two nights ago, she told me to call you," I said.
"How did she die?" Sam asked sympathetically.
"Her throat and wrists were slit," I said, " And there was a message on the wall, it said I was next," I said.
"Did you smell anything weird, or feel any cold spots?" Dean asked.
"I smelled rotten eggs and blood," I said.
"Do you think it's demons Sam?" Dean asked Sam like I was never apart of the conversation.
"Demons? You guy are crazy," I said starting to get up from my seat.
"Just sit down, we can help you," Sam said.
"No, I think I can help myself. Nice talking to you psychopaths," I said with a wave of my hand. I got up from my seat wondering why I even came and then as fast as Lightning I was pinned to the wall. The waitress who did it had black eyes and I thought I was hallucinating so I said, "What, I didn't give you a good tip?" I said with a wry smile.
"You have no idea, hot shot," The woman picked me up and threw me over the bar. The wind was knocked out of me and I was gasping for air. The woman came around the bar and picked me up by the collar. "You boys better tell us where your angel friend is or the girl gets a very painful makeover!" The waitress screamed at Sam and Dean.
"I'm not much for makeovers," I said with a nervous laugh.
"Shut it Short Cake!" The waitress retorted. Oh my god what have I gotten myself into? Great, I'm going to die and I was making jokes, That's healthy, I thought to myself as I was hanging from my shirt.
"Calm down, we don't have to get edgy," Dean said trying to calm the situation.
"Where is the angel and I'll let her go," The waitress said with mock sympathy. Dean didn't answer, he just pulled out a knife with a serrated edge.
"No can do, I think I'll just kill you," Dean said moving closer.
"Dean, I really don't think this is the time to make death threats to a waitress on PCP." I said fearing for my life.
"She won't kill you, you are her only leverage," Dean said moving even closer.
"Dean, not the time!" I said trying to convince him to stop. "Sam, please stop him!" I said.
"Dean, maybe she's right," Sam said.
"Nope," And Dean went into action stabbing the waitress, There was a light inside of her that flickered and I wondered if I was just in shock. "We gotta go," Dean said pulling me into a run out of the diner. When we were in the parking lot the boys told me to get into the car and I didn't need to be told twice because everyone who was in the diner was chasing us. They all had black eyes, I think.
Once we were down the road a bit I lost my temper, "What the hell was that?!" I asked.
"Those were demons, also what killed your mom," Sam said.
"Thanks for that, so I believe you now, I mean with the eyes? Are all demons like that?" I asked.
"Yeah, all demons have black eyes, but they can hide 'em once in a while." Dean said.
"Just peachy, so are there other things besides demons?" I asked hoping I was wrong.
"Yeah, there are monsters and ghosts too," Sam said.
"This just keeps getting better and better, so what now?" I asked.
"We take you to Bobby's and we figure it out from there," Dean said.
"Where' Bobby's?"
"Sioux Falls, South Dakota," Dean replied, "Get comfortable, it's going to be a long ride," Dean said turning up the Metalica that was already playing. All I could do was sit back and hope I wasn't going to die any time soon.
