Harley ~

When we finally got to the crappy motel room for the next hunt I set up the gear that I had gotten for research. All I had was a cheap laptop and a cell phone for emergencies but it still took time to get it out of my bag and get it started up. While Sam and Dean were changing into their suits I was already starting on research for the monster and I had come up short. I looked at every site to figure out what we were dealing with and then Sam showed me a computer trick that helped a lot and I was back on track. I soon found out that we were hunting a Chupacabra, goat sucker. I gathered the information for the boys. This time they were feds looking for answers to the attack.

"Sam, what usually happens during questioning?" I asked curious to what they actually asked people about monster attacks. After all I would need this information eventually. I was already one step closer. Dean had taken me shooting last weekend and I bulls-eyed every target he gave me. He tried not to show it but I knew he was proud.

"Well, we usually ask hem what they remember about the attack or what relations they had with the victims and trying to connect them together," Sam said very factually. Sam was good for questions about hunting, whenever I would ask Dean a question he would give me a short and unspecific answer. It annoyed the hell outta me, so I just started asking Sam instead. Sam was nice top me, he always listened. Dean and Bobby usually waved me off or pretended to listen. I tried not to bother with them.

Dean emerged from the bathroom in his fed suit ready to go question a priest. I bent down back to my work. "Sam, Harley, ready to go?" He asked and I almost fell out of my chair. He was actually inviting me on a hunt! I never thought this would happen. I always thought I would have to fight for this chance to show myself. I was so excited I grabbed my jacket and ran out of the door. Sam and Dean followed not nearly fast enough. I was ready to go kill a Chupacabra. I sat quietly in the back seat of the impala while Sam and Dean were questioning. They didn't take me in because that would raise suspicion, but I was happy to wait in the car as long as I got to kill a real monster.

Sam and Dean came back and strode over to the impala. They ducked their heads as they went inside the impala. "Well, You can't seem to wipe that grin off your face can you?" Deans aid with a chuckle looking at me through the rear view mirror. Sam laughed when he noticed my smile too and I quickly stopped trying to be serious.

"I'm just excited for my first hunt, and nervous," I said looking out of the window. That's when I noticed a teenage boy in a black hoodie. He took out his phone and there was blood on his hands. He looked up for a moment and I saw blood near his mouth. "Sam, Dean, I think I just found our monster," I said pointing to the teenager.

"I think you may be right, He has blood on his mouth and hands," Sam said.

"So what's the game plan?" I asked a little too excited. I spotted my first monster and I would kill it! I started to reach for my gun feeling the beat of my heart against my chest.

"We follow him until night to see what he does, then we do our job," Dean said pulling away from the church and following the boy.

**************

It was dark and we were near the woods where we followed the boy. We were waiting to hear anything screaming when I noticed more men going into the woods. I pointed it out to Sam and he and Dean went to investigate a bit further without me. I was beginning to wonder if this was just a ride along. Whether or not I would get to see some action or not. Then Dean waved for me to follow and I got out of the impala, gun drawn, pointed low. I was so excited and nervous about how this was going to go, but I tried to keep myself under control.

I finally caught up to Sam and Dean. They were nestled under some bushes to keep hidden from the monsters. I joined them under the brush as we watched the Chupacabras start a bonfire. They started putting on war paint and headdresses.

"What are they doing?" I asked Dean who was loading his gun.

"It's a coming of age ritual, remember that teenager, he's the one coming of age," Dean answered clearly for once. I was starting to panic, there were at least a dozen monsters. I wasn't sure I was ready to take on a whole tribe. That's when they took out the hostages, or more like sacrifices. It was a young girl, no more than eight and an old man in his later years. When I saw them I knew I had to succeed, their lives depended on it. Dean started to move and Sam was about to follow before I stopped them and asked, "Wait, what's the plan?"

"Uh, kill as many as you can, don't get killed," Dean said with an enthusiastic nod and He and Sam were off circling the camp. They told me to stay here and when I hear the signal (whatever that is) I would shoot as many as I could from my vantage point. You could kill a chupacabra the same as a shifter or a werewolf, silver. I loaded my gun and waited for something to happen.

Soon the monsters started chanting an ancient rhyme. I saw Dean nod at Sam and they went into action, shooting monsters all around. I could only hope that was the signal, so I opened fire on they monsters. I shot the teenager I saw earlier with the black hoodie. I shot the one that looked like the chief, with his enormous headdress. I shot a woman, who was about to rip out Dean's throat. He noticed and gave me an approving nod, and I kept firing till all of them were down. That night we burned all of the bodies, I was a little shaken up by all the death, monsters or not, but I didn't dare show it. After all they were monsters threatening a little girl and an old man's lives. I knew I did the right thing but I couldn't help feeling bad about the boy's death, he was just a few years older than me and I took his life. When I couldn't bare to watch the flames any longer I went to sit on the hood of the impala. I was a beautiful night filled with stars and forest noises. I laid back on the hood and started looking for constellations. That's when I heard a bang and it all went dark.
