"Why do we have to see?"  She sat upright making no move to sip the coffee or even have a bite of the cake.

"Can you relax a bit?" She urged her. "I just wanted to have a word with you." She said softly.

Why was she calm? Why was she here in the first place? What was this unusual meeting about?

"Am not sure I should be here with you." She kept a keen face. "Just spill whatever you have to say." She urged her.

"Did you and Luke plan to act tough around me or what?" She smiled wryly.

"I see you've met with my fiancé." She folded her arms. "We have the final hearing in two days, I am not sure I'm supposed to be around you." She said sternly.

Diane smiled, grabbed her purse. She dipped into it and took out  something that looked like a piece of paper.

"Ten million dollars." She pushed the paper towards her. "Just go back to your place with all of this money." She smiled with the corner of her lips.

Rissa couldn't believe this woman right here, what did she think of her.

"If I know you well, you don't stick to deals quite well, Diane." She sipped the coffee now, still shaking her head at her.

She sighed dryly. "I stuck with all my deals quite well, I paid him." She countered back.

"The divorce? It was part of it, right?" She asked.

"That was a different case, I'm a woman and a person. What do you expect of me? Luke and I were a perfect match too though." She tackled.

"Indeed." She smiled. "I don't need your money, Diane." She pushed back the cheque.

"Are you happy with the life that you have chosen?" She inquired. "I'm very sure you are not and I'm doing you the favor of having that perfect life now." She added.

Rissa relaxed herself on the chair. "You think there's such a thing as a perfect life." She laughed sarcastically. "I just want a life where I wake up to work, eat some tacos, sleep and kiss out the love of my life."

Diane couldn't help but chuckle. "That's a boring life though but I can make it perfect for you with this money." She pointed at the piece of paper still on the table.

"You don't get it, do you?" She was getting impatient. "My life would never be perfect without Luke." She got up.

"Then be prepared for menace." She got up too. "You don't know what you have caused for you both for not agreeing to this." She glared at her.

"Does it look like I care? You are just being desperate!" She almost yelled at her.

"You just haven't seen the wrath of a desperate woman, have you? Wait and see." She walked out on her.

Rissa remained quiet in the car, reminiscing about her meeting with Diane, she definitely thinks her money can get her anything which was crazy, she lives off the money she made.

"Are you okay, ma'am?" Ric noticed her mood. "I hope she didn't say anything out of the ordinary." He said again.

She shook her head. "Luke mustn't know about this, it wouldn't help if he does." She told him.

Her phone rang out, she grabbed it out of her purse and a little sigh escaped her mouth once she saw who it was.

"Hey, Lawrence."

"It's so good to hear your voice, Rissa."

"Same here, what's up?"

"Been good since you awkwardly disappeared."
