"I can't wait honestly!" Lola sounded really excited as she squeezed Sandra and Rissa's hands in hers while they walked towards the exit doors.

"You would definitely kill Rissa if she had not made you the chief bridesmaid." Sandra said with a smile.

"Definitely." She added quickly. "I can't believe it's in two weeks." She was a bit calmer.

Rissa sighed, she was getting married in two weeks to the man who made her feel loved again and also caused her so much pain.

"She's going from a Ms to a Mrs." Sandra was definitely happy for Rissa. "We're going to miss you though."

"You will miss me? What does that mean? Don't I work here anymore?" She was puzzled about what Sandra had said.

They stopped walking to listen to what Sandra had to say. "You don't know? You become a wife and suddenly distant yourself away from us, you never have our time anymore, it happens to all wives." She told them.

"I hear that a lot too." Lola reasoned. "Too busy with your husband and we only get to see each other at work, could it be true?" She turned her eyes to Rissa with a questioning look.

"My God!!" She exclaimed. "I do not know what you both are talking about but all I know is that it ain't going to happen to me, it's a societal narrative and it's cliche." She retorted.

"Cliche or not, the societal narrative has always been followed by women." Sandra said back calmly.

She sighed at that, could that happen to her too? "I've known Lola for like forever before I even met Luke and he knows that. I can't throw away our friendship because I got married and I'm still trying to get to know you, Sandra." She started walking and they followed.

"Whatever happens, we are all adults at the end of the day, everyone will have their own shit to face, we've got to accept that " Lola said trying to lighten up the mood.

"Your admirer is here again." Sandra narrowed her eyes at Lawrence who was waiting by his car.

"I'll see you guys tomorrow." Rissa said and walked towards Lawrence, they exchanged a few words. Rissa got into her car and him into his and they drove off.

"You didn't have to bring that up, you know?" Lola jerked at her.

"What did I do?" She shrugged her hands in the air. "Some conversations are very necessary!" She said walking ahead.

Rissa parked into her driveway while Lawrence parked behind, they both got out and walked into the house.

"I thought you had moved out of your house." He was surprised that Rissa still stayed here when she was getting married soon.

"I know right but Mom rejected that." She smiled as she ushered him into the house.

"She isn't home?" He looked around the house.

"Nah." She shook. "She's too busy preparing for my wedding." She smiled brightly.

"I see." He sat on the couch.

"Can I get you coffee?"

"Sure."

She brewed them both some hot coffee.

"How is your best man thing going on?" She asked him as she handed his coffee.

"Excellent." He smiled. "I met with Luke yesterday and we've decided on the type of tuxedos to wear." He sipped.

"Great." She buried her face into the coffee.

"And the baby?" He glanced at her belly.

Rissa raised her brows. "How did you know?"
