Your POV After New years, a few months passed by and everyone was training for the next world tournament, Nagisa, and Rei are now apart of two college swim teams, Rin and Haru have been hard at training for their swimming style events. And you as well to win in backstroke at the next world tournament. One day, when you were out at a pool complex, a female, sort of in her 30s or 40s spot you and you guys had a conversation, and soon she became your coach, and started training you.
"Faster. You can do better than that, Y/n!" She shouted, as she timed my swimming.
You increased your speed as you reached the end, and came out gasping for water,"50.00.59." She said.
"Not fast enough, you want to beat Sofia, you still need to quicken your kicks more." She explained in a stern voice.
You nodded, as she tossed you a towel and you dried off,"That's all for today, see you tomorrow." She said.
You looked at her,"Bye." You finished drying off, as you zipped your swim jacket on, and headed out of the pool complex.
You headed to a small Cafe, where you and Kenma were gonna meet up. You two were gonna catch up, since the past few weeks you two have been focusing more on your events. You arrived at the Cafe, when you were launched into a hug from out of nowhere,"Y/n!!" A voice echoed, and you noticed the black and yellow hair of Kenma as she hugged me, and then she let go,"Been a minute since we hung out lately, how's it going?!" Kenma asked.
You two walked to your table and sat down, as you continued to chat,"Fine. I've been training for the next world tournament, and I got a coach now." You explained.
"That's good, I've been tweeking my events as well, I learned a few new things, you know." Kenma said.
"So we both been improving and getting stronger?!" You said.
"Yep, can't wait to see who wins in the next tournament!" Kenma said excitedly.
The rest of the time you guys were there, you chatted and ate dinner at the small Cafe, after you two finished, Kenma payed the bill and we headed out. We stood outside the Cafe for a few minutes having one last conversation, when Kenma had a last minute errand to run, leaving you to walk back to your house alone. You started to make your way, when you stopped when a pink leaf dropped infront of you, you looked up to see the beautiful, cherry blossom tree, it was gorgeous. You hadn't seen one in forever, you took a moment to admire it's beauty and took a photo as well, when you were bumped by someone as your phone slipped out of your hands and fell onto the hard concrete,"Shit!" You reached to grab your phone, and pick it up and turn it on to see a huge Crack in the screen,"Dammit!" You mumbled.
"I'm so stupid, honestly..."
You heard a voice mumble, as you saw a small sight of a certain marooned-haired figure,"Yeah. You most definitely are." You said, as his eyes widened on you and you had gotten his attention. "Rin, why are you running? You cracked my screen!" You complained, as he was back to ignoring you, as he was looking at something else, you turned around to look at the tree, and back at Rin, and you sighed. "Whatever. I'll let it go. You okay, Rin?" You said as you held out your hand to him. He grabbed it and pulled on your hand trying to get up, not knowing his own strength, he brought you down with him instead,"Whoa!" You fell down beside him.
"Sorry. My bad." Rin said as he got up on his own and put out a hand to help you up,"I was trying to help you, not the other way around." You said sarcastically. You eventually got up,"so what's up with you?!" You asked curiously.
Rin looked at you, and frowned,"U-uh. Nothing." You put your hand on your hip, and raise an eyebrow,"Just a few second ago, didn't look like nothing? C'mon Rin, tell me!" You said.
Rin sighs,"Okay. Just gimme a minute."
You nodded,"okay." You watch as he gets on the phone with someone,"I found him." You heard as him reply to the person on the other end of the line. The phone call soon hung up, and he shoved his phone in his pocket,"Follow me." You followed along and he went to a Night pool, you noticed a blue-haired figure floating in the pool,"Is that H-" when Rin covered your mouth. "Shh!"
"Haru?" A Voice mumbled from behind, as you looked over to see Makoto. You pushed Rin's hands off your mouth,as you watched Makoto begin to walk ahead but Rin stopped him with his hand and he went ahead as he started to strip and get into the pool. You couldn't hear the conversation going on over there, you tried to lip-read but it wasn't working for you. After a few minutes, Rin looked over in your direction.
"Makoto." He said.
"Y-yes." Makoto stammered.
The two boys got out of the pool and stood on their diving platforms. "On your mark."
"Ready."
"GO!!" Makoto said as the two boys dove into the water, you stood by Makoto as you watched the two boys face off. As they got to the opposite end they turned around and kicked off the wall to increase their speed. They arrived at the end as they both hit the wall and propelled out the water gasping for air.
In that moment you watched as Rin hugged Haru,"You swim beautifully, Haru."
"Yes. I'm sorry I said terrible things." Haru said.
"Me too, since so long I only say terrible things to you."Rin said.
"You taught me so many things in life. I'm grateful to you." Haru said.
"You idiot." Rin said.
They hadn't yet pulled away from the hug, as you started to get this feeling inside,"You know Rin, I keep wondering whether you're gay?"
They immediately pulled out of the hug,"Y/n! Shut up!" Rin shouted.
"Hey! It's not my fault! I saw gay, so I said gay!" You shouted back at them.
"Shut the fuck up!" Rin shouted.
"Rin, Don't be so mean! Y/n's just alittle jealous!" Makoto said in a baby voice.
You look at Makoto with a death glare,"I'm not. They're acting gay, I'm not jealous!"
"Not even alittle." Makoto said.
"Shut up!"
Makoto put his hand out to help Haru and Rin get out the pool, only to get himself launched in to get drench in chlorine water. I gave a small chuckle, soon they eventually got out and I decided to stay for a bit longer, we walked outside and laid down on the concrete by a fountain as we reminisced on past events. Eventually the night ended and you headed home.
Timeskip
After a good solid weeks, The boy's trained non-stop for the next big tournament, as well as you training to get faster, and soon the tournament was here. It was time.
