Secrets of Faulkner Castle

Character Introduction

Aniette, also known as Ani, is a lowly scullery maid. All her jobs usually entail is washing dishes, doing the servants' laundry, and sometimes helping the cook in the kitchen make the servants' dinner. Which usually only really consisted of water and a few vegetables. A servant's life is hard often they are malnourished due to food being scarce among the servants. Ani didn't complain though, if it wasn't for the royal family making her a maid shed have no roof over her head and no food, even if it is very little, in her belly. 

Salem Faulkner on the other hand lives a completely different lifestyle, as he is one of the crowned princes. He and his brother Kris' identities are secret to everyone except the council of their father and a very select few of the servants. They often spar and follow their fellow men into battle posing as Knights without worrying that they will be recognized as the mysterious princes of Faulkner castle. Though their looks are unknown their personalities are not. They are twins but people who have seen them often describe their eyes, the only thing visible about them, often say that Salem's eyes are icy and cold while Kris' are warm and airy. However, they don't know which prince is which or the names of those they are describing. 

Jake an actual Knight of the Faulkner kingdom has had his eyes on Ani for years but every time he attempts to impress her with the medals awarded to him by the King and Princes themselves, Ani seems unimpressed though and only wants to ask about the mystery princes. Jake indulges her in the conversation of the little he knows about the Princes, but every time he starts to slowly close the distance Ani dashes off needing to do some chores.  While sparring to keep his skills sharp he often notices two white-haired Knights and even though he asks around no one seems to know how long they have been there. He keeps an eye on them to make sure their not spies for a neighboring kingdom that may want to declare war on them. What makes him so suspicious of them is that they often pop out unexpectedly and no one knows where they go. 

Serena Volosual is a princess from the neighboring country that has come to visit the Faulkner princes. One of the princes on the other hand has captured her attention due to his cold demeanor and his uninterested in her. Every advance she makes he dodges saying it's due to him not looking for a relationship at this time, but she swears she's seen him running around with one of the maids in the middle of the night. Maybe she was mistaken and it isn't the prince at all but an actual knight that just shares features with the prince. Serena knows the secrets of the Faulkner kingdom though, and she has no problem exploiting them to get what she wants. 

 Rosebella Hawthornage is the handmaiden to Serena. She strikes up an unusual friendship with one of the maids though and often warns the maid that the knight that she is seeing is going to cause some trouble for her, but her friend often brushes it off "Besides its not like I'm trying to date one of the Princes" she will often tell Rose. Rose worries for her friend, especially with Serena's scheming. She seeks out help from a knight that often is seen with the one that her friend is sneaking around with. She warns him of the scheming that Serena is doing due to being rejected by the Prince known as Salem. With confiding in this knight she finds herself entangled as well in a romance that should never take place. 

Kris is Salem's twin brother but he seems to be the warmer one where as Salem has been brooding since their mother's death when they were mere kids. Kris warns his brother about his relationship with the maid but of course, his brother doesn't listen. It only gets worse when Serena's handmaiden Rose approaches him thinking he's a lowly knight and not the prince to confide in her fear for the maid who will be the blunt of Serena's scheming. Kris tells the handmaiden to not worry for he will protect the maid and the kingdom. This sparks an unnatural friendship but Kris worries. When he sees Rose his heart says more than friends and it scares him he may be following his brother's footsteps and falling in love with someone he should never be.
