Spring Man and Springtron held their breath as the device shielded them. The footsteps were getting closer by the second, and it was definitely Coyle who was coming.
Min Min was fine, she had left now to save them, but it would be quite useful if the two of them could also zip away, which, quite unfortunately and sadly for them, Springtron only had one time traveling watch and no built in teleporter.
Spring Man looked at his friend with his face contorting in worry, hoping he would be able to do something to save their skins.
The hallway was a dead end and they were cornered. The spiked heels clicked on the floor, with each step they got more and more worried. Even if they tried making a run for it, they wouldn't make it out without taking a beating.
"Wow, wow," came Coyle's bright voice, with pinches of maliciousness present in it, "look who broke into my secret chamber. I'm glad they haven't blown up my beloved exquisite device or crystal though, or they're really gonna have it."
Spring Man held his breath. This was it. This was it. Coyle was going to crush them – just like how she did after catching Ninjara during their break in to the off limits stories in the ARMS Labs buildings.
She then levitated to above the crystal, looking daggers down at the two hiding culprits. She cackled, the sound of it echoing around.
"Perish, dimwits!" She pulled back her ARM, gearing her Lokjaw up before extending it towards them.
They gasped, dodging it and Spring Man was sent sprawling out on the ground while Springtron dodged with a backflip. She had just missed and now that they were discovered, they had to escape through the open walls. QUICK.
"I said PERISH! Perish for what you tried to do!" she screeched, punching the other Lokjaw at them, but this time before it could reach them, Coyle felt a sharp pain on her back and her ARM froze in place from the sudden paralyze.
The two of them stared, slightly confused. They weren't able to see too clearly, as the glowing crystal was their only light source in the large, ill-lit chamber.
Spring Man did not hesitate to put on his mask, which activated his strong ARMS.
Coyle looked behind her, only to see a sharp shining silver arrow pierced through her armor. Growling, she knew who it meant.
"You do some dumb shit, we destroy it! Rinse and repeat ad infinitum, as many times as we have to! You will not get the better of us, ever!" Mechanica shouted from the opening of the chamber before launching another arrow.
Seeing it coming this time, Coyle blocked it and went to attack her instead. The two Springs did not hesitate to jump up and tackle her down, but obviously she was stronger than them shook them off, but they didn't stop either.
Mechanica rushed in to help, swinging her bow madly, trying to take down Coyle. Surely fighting one o'clock in the morning wasn't a good idea, but ever since what happened they were trying even harder than they ever had to stop her – whatever cost it meant as long as they didn't lose anybody else.

Rhielle creased her eyebrows and turned around. Even asleep, the thought of the chain of recent events haunted her each night, every night. Her blanket was off the ground, her tossing and turning every few seconds.
Her arm flopped over the bed, hanging there. Finally, her eyes popped open and she sat up, not able to take the stress anymore. Geez, it was all her fault! She didn't have to listen to Coyle, but she did, and they ended up like this, and it was because of her that...
Her self-criticisms were interrupted by a faraway female scream. For some reason after all that she was now extremely sensitive to these kinds of sounds, so even if it was barely there for others it might be very evident for her.
