After what felt like a lifetime on the plane, we had finally landed in Icheon International Airport. The atmosphere felt so different compared to Portland, and I loved it. The sound of boisterous people and the dragging of many suitcases filled my ears as Kitty and I began to make our way out of the busy airport.
Just then, the sweet aroma of freshly baked cupcakes filled my nose.
"Ooo, come come!" I grabbed Kitty's hand as we headed to the cupcake stand. The delicacies caught my eye immediately. They were so cute — the icing even had animals on them!
I got a pig cupcake, and Kitty got a little duck one.
"Thank you so much!" I exclaimed as the cashier placed the change in my hand, leaving two happy girls strolling across the airport eating animal-shaped cupcakes.

"Our bus...No, no, no!" Kitty shouted as we began running towards the KISS school bus, which had already started driving away without us. "What are we gonna do now?"
"Hate to say it but...subway it is." I let out a sigh as I pointed towards a bunch of metropolitan maps on a stand, causing Kitty to grab one immediately and begin scanning for our destination. God, it was huge. We were definitely going to get lost!

Some time had passed, and we finally made it out of the treacherous, never-ending subway. We paused for a minute to catch our breath when we were out of the train station.
"There was no reason for that to be as complicated as it was." I said with a sigh, fanning my face with the map.
"Right?! We really need to work on our Korean." Kitty replied with a laugh as she leaned in next to me so I could fan her face as well. I turned my head partially to look at her, and she had the cutest smile on her face. Her hair was curled slightly at the ends, and her curtain bangs framed her face perfectly.
"You're so beautiful..." I muttered with a soft smile on my face, tucking a piece of her hair behind her ear. I couldn't help but admire her features. "...Dae's gonna flip when he sees you in the flesh!"
She fell silent for a minute, just staring into my eyes with her lips slightly parted, a small smile eventually forming.
"You know what, go ahead without me." I began. "I think I'm gonna go visit my dad before the welcome party — like a little reunion." I announced suddenly, breaking the slightly awkward silence.
"Oh yeah, of course! I'll meet you at the welcome party, okay?" She spoke up, snapping out of her 'trance' and readjusting the grip she had on her belongings.
"Yup, see you there!" I called out to her with a smile, waving goodbye as I pulled out my phone and began typing in my dad's company address into KakaoMap.

"Hi, do you know where Mr Seong is?" I began asking around the company building, trying to figure out if anyone had seen my dad. However, all the people who I asked shook their heads 'no' and walked straight past me.
He's literally the head of the company, why doesn't anybody know of his whereabouts?
My last resort: the front desk.
"Hi, excuse me, have you seen Mr Seong anywhere?" I enquired at the front desk. A young-looking woman with straight, black hair looked up at me with a gentle, welcoming smile on her face.
"Hi there! Unfortunately, random visitors are not permitted to meet the head of the company unless they are an employee, idol or trainee. Could we satisfy you in any other way?"
"I'm actually his daughter... surprise!" Her face immediately transformed into one of panic as she shook the employee next to her frantically on the shoulder, standing up in the process.
"I am so sorry, please forgive me!" She shouted, bowing to me. "Is there anything I could get you? Water? Juice?"
"No thank you, it's okay! I just kinda want my dad!"
"I hate to say it, but he's not here right now. I could let him know that you passed by the next time he's at work, though."
"That would be perfect. Thank you so much!" I spoke softly, bowing to her out of respect before turning around, causing the young woman to follow me to the door and hold it open for me, bowing once again with a large smile on her face.
"Well that was a fail... I guess I should start heading to KISS." I muttered to myself before entering a new address into KakaoMap once again.

"This dress looks so good... my ass looks hella good too..." I let my intrusive thoughts take over as I stared at my reflection and muttered whatever came to mind, adjusting the white ribbon which held my curled raven hair up in a bow. I wore an elegant, short silk dress, which was quite loose at the bottom, with a matching pair of chunky white heels. The white dress contrasted and complimented my skin colour really well!
"There we go." I applied a small amount of glitter to my eyelids as my finishing touches before stepping back, and looking at myself once again. "Perfect."
Just then, my phone began buzzing.
"Hey, Kitty! Are you at the welcome party yet?" I said ecstatically into the phone, a large smile forming on my face.
"Yes, I'm walking there now. My hands are shaking so much... I'm so excited to surprise Dae!" I could practically hear her squealing on the other side of the phone, making me chuckle slightly as I pictured the fat smile on her face right at that moment.
"Operation KISS is finally happening... I'll meet you there!" I exclaimed as I heard her squeal one last time before hanging up the phone.
I laughed slightly before tucking my phone away into a small, white prada bag, and heading out the door.
Operation KISS is finally a go...
