The light shining through the window slowly wakes me up. I wake up and adjust my vision. How long have I been unconscious? I rub my eyes as I sit up on the bed. Seeing shelves filled with medical supplies, it becomes pretty obvious where I am. After glancing around the room, I look to my left and find a... Questionable looking doctor besides me. Half human and... Half ostrich?

The 'doctor' spoke something in a foreign language before going out. I plop myself back ok the bed, wondering what I should do now. While contemplating on my next decision, the 'doctor' comes in again, holding a syringe with some mysterious liquid in it. I grimace a bit at the sight of it.

"Hang on... Is that thing really necessary now??" I ask, trying my best to explain it through sign language. Unfortunately, it completely ignores me and moves closer to me. My eyes dart around the room in panic. What do I do? Maybe I can go through the window... I look over the window and realize that it's around 7 floors high. Never mind.

As I scramble my thoughts to find a way to escape, somebody knocks on the door. It stops getting closer to me and puts away the syringe. I swear that thing just frowned, somehow.

Creak.

The door swings open and reveals a man with long white hair and a pair of golden eyes, wearing a light armor. He has a somewhat lazy smile on his face, too. I sigh silently, already expecting more trouble.

"Heh... You can go now," He says in a deep voice. The 'doctor' tries to argue with him but finds it futile since he won't be leaving anyway. It left the room, stomping its way out.

I put on a wary expression on my face. Ready to face anything that might transpire here. The man then lets out a soft chuckle, "It's fine, I'm not here to cause trouble of the sorts. You can relax now, he's gone..."

I raise an eyebrow at him, "...Really?"

He nods, leaning beside the door, "Yes. You're safe now. So, how are you feeling now?" He asks with genuine concern look on his face.

"Sigh, I still feel a little bit dizzy, but it's not a big deal," I say, resting my cheek against the back of my hand. "You're not here to do anything to me, right?" I ask skeptically while looking at him from head to toe.

He sighs helplessly, "Yes, don't worry. I'm not going to do anything to you." A warm and tender smile makes its way across his face. "I'm here to pick you up, I'm sure you don't want to stay here any longer," He then walks closer to me. "But again, the choice is yours."

I can either stay or go with him... For now, obviously, I'd rather go with him. Who wants to be injected with only God knows what anyway? And... He seems nice. Something about him makes me feel like trusting him. After making up my mind, I get off the bed, "Okay... I'll come with you."

"Alright, let's get out of here," He says, leading the way out of this building.

As we walk, I realize that this unknown planet doesn't look too shabby at all. In fact, it looks quite nice. The trees are much bigger than what I had expected. There are humans, octopus heads, or something... And I saw what looks like an orange blob... I'm tempted to squish it. Little did I know, he's looking at me intently.

"I have a feeling that you're tempted to squish it," He says, holding back a laughter. I look back at him, "Hey...! How did you know that...?"

He grins, "Pretty obvious from how you looked at it." I sigh, "Damn it... Can't blame me, though." He only laughs in response.
