Chapter 4: Filming jitters

First day of filming was always the most awkward. Since, thankfully, filming was set for later tonight, since the beginning of the movie starts off during the night. You asked Devyn and Jasmine to come over to go over some lines you had with them, wanting this to go smoothly and nice. "Alrighty, so where do we start off?" Jasmine asked as she sat down, across from you but next to Devyn. "In the script we start off with you and Devyn sitting on the couch, and I walked up to you guys." You said as you skimmed the script to find where you had lines together. "Ahhh, I see. Okay. 'Heyy y/n, you look cute!'" Devyn started off, as you and Jasmine went along, enacting everything. 'Thank you gorgeous!'

Your part together is quickly over, since your character goes to find Ethan, Jack's character. 'Thanks. I'll see you guys later.' You put your script down, feeling confident enough to remember. "Well, that's easy enough right?" You asked Devyn and Jasmine, looking up to them. "Yup. You think we're good for later?" Devyn turned to Jasmine. "Oh yeah definitely." Jasmine then looked up at you, narrowing her eyes. "So y/n..." Here we go. "Are you ready for your scenes with Jack?" There it is. "Yes, why wouldn't I?" You raised an eyebrow, hoping she didn't have anything to say after that. "Fair point." A small sigh left your mouth, glad she didn't feed into this.

You had to be at set by 7, and in costume by 7:30. It was about 6:15, and you had yet to start getting ready to leave for set, as your nerves started kicking in. You were pasting in your room, overthinking about the scenes. What if you messed up? What if you couldn't do any of the scenes right and ruin the first day of filming just because you can't act properly at the moment? A ring then made you snap out of your thoughts, making you jump a little at the very unexpected sound. You looked around trying to find where it was coming from, which turned out to be your phone. Mason was calling you, but why?

"Hello?" You answered the call, trying to sound as if you weren't about to have a mental break down. "Hey, I know you weren't expecting me to call but I just wanted to make sure you were feeling alright. First day of filming, it can get into your mind and mess you up, trust me, I know." You relaxed as you heard Mason say that. Someone understanding exactly how you felt made you feel a lot better. "Damn, it's like you read my fucking mind, I was just about to have a mental break down over this. I am so nervous I'm gonna fuck this up." You admitted, sighing as you sat down on your bed, putting a hand over your face.

"Don't overthink it. That's exactly how you mess up. Just pretend, I mean like duh pretend but pretend you know exactly what you're doing, fake confidence. Fake it till you make it. Plus, I've seen your audition tape." Your eyes widen when he said that. He saw your audition??? That is so embarrassing. "You saw that?!" You yell as you fall onto your back, closing your eyes at the thought of someone watching it. "Yes I did, and it was great y/n. Don't underestimate yourself. You can act. Just because you aren't used to being in big movies, does not mean you don't belong in them. You got this y/n. I know you do." Mason gave you such a confidence boost, and right when you needed it too.

"Thank you Mason. I swear you are going to be the only reason I make it through this film." You scoffed and let out a small laugh. "Anytime y/n. Now get your ass off your bed and get on your way here." "How the fuck did you know I'm in bed?" "Just a hunch. But seriously, be on your way here soon." "Okay 'dad', will do." You hung up, laughing and staring at the ceiling a little before getting up. You looked into your body length mirror that was hanging on your door. "You got this." You gave yourself a thumbs up in the mirror, instantly cringing at it. You walked out your room, grabbing your purse, putting on your shoes and jacket before getting on your way.

You made it to the set, quickly getting into your trailer and seeing Ophelia there, waiting. "Hey pretty! Are you ready to start filming?" She instantly got everything ready. "As ready as I'll ever be!" You laugh before sitting down. "Let's get started shall we?" She turned you around to face her as she started putting on your makeup. "Do you know what you're going to be wearing?" She questioned, as she put on a small wing of eyeliner. "Nope, is it cute?" You were worried about looking like a fool in your first scene. "Very. You'll like it."
