Chapter 13: Reality sucks

Today was the day where your and Jack's character get together. Jack's character, Ethan, takes your character on a surprise date to the beach, but she doesn't know that. But first, you had to finish your last couple of scenes with the girls. All you had to shoot was when you finished getting dressed, and walk out to have a photo-shoot until you get picked up to go on the date. Now that you think of it, this is totally something Jack would do. You just hoped his character wasn't ghostface. 

"Today is so big for me, my hands are so sweaty." You complained to Ophelia, as she added her finishing touches. "Don't be nervous, everything is fixed between you and Jack and there is definitely there. And you look absolutely amazing." As she was finishing her sentence, she stepped over to the side, revealing how you looked. You couldn't like to yourself, you looked so pretty right now. "Only thanks to you of course." You always sucked up to Ophelia, as much as she tries to deny it, she loves it and you know it.

"Yeah yeah, hurry up and go, your man is waiting for you." You rolled your eyes as she rushed you out the door. "Alright alright, and he's not my man!" You shouted as she closed the door behind you. As you walked closer and closer to the set, you could see all the other girls on scene, waiting for you. "Y/n!! Oh my God, you look so cute!!! Red matches you so well." Devyn practically ran to you. "Thank you! I'm so glad my character can actually dress well." She let out a small giggle as she lead you to the room where you had to start off. 

"Are you excited for this? You and Jack are literally going on a date, like a real one, on a camera too." Devyn tried to make you more excited, which you appreciated, but all she did was make you more nervous. "I don't know, I'm a little nervous. I know we already kissed on camera, but this time it's different, more intimate I guess? It just has a lot more emotion and I don't wanna fall even harder than I already have." You looked down, not noticing your accidental rant that you were currently having. 

"Y/n, calm down." Devyn grabbed your hands, making your eyes leave the floor and to her. "You are going to be fine, and gosh you are so blind if you can't see that Jack likes you! All of mine and Mason's conversations are about 95% of how you and Jack need to get together already!" She slightly tugged on your arms every couple seconds, making sure you listened. "Slow burn is so frustrating." What did she say? "Wait what? Slow burn? Huh?" You tilted your head in the side as an animal would when it's confused. "Yeah! Slow burn, the book trope where the two love interest take forever to get together, and once you think they are about too, they end up going right back to page one. It's literally you and Jack!" 

There is no way Devyn is being serious right now. "Hold on, you made whatever me and Jack have going on, into a book trope? This is not a book Devyn." You were being serious, which only made her smirk. "Might as well be." She let go of your hands, shutting the door in front of you. Why would she say something like that right before filming? Now it's gonna come to mind when you say your lines. Ugh. Luckily, you and your character were basically the same person.

"Is everyone ready?" You looked behind you to see Matt and Tyler coming in. Everyone shouted all the words you could possibly say that meant yes. Everyone except you. "Y/n? Are you alright? Good to start filming?" Matt questioned you. "Sorry yes, I am." You nodded, trying to sell to them that you were ready when truly, you weren't. You were internally screaming and fighting the urge to run. "Alright! Let's start." They both sat down, getting comfortable while keeping eyes on the camera. "Action!" You were so glad that your character had to be nervous, so you didn't really have to act. 

You walked towards the living room part of the set, the sight of the girls slowly appearing more as you walked in further. Devyn was the only one who actually already saw what you looked like, making it a little surprise for the other girls. "What do you guys think?" You straightened out the red skirt, only for it to wave back into place the moment your hands leave it.  "You're gorgeous." Jenna; Tara said. You knew it was one of her lines, but it still made you feel good. After that, Liana, Devyn, Jenna, Melissa, and Jasmine all get their phones out, back camera pointing you, taking photos. Some of them even turned their flash on.
