The night slowly settled in; shops started to shut their lights off. Many townspeople made their way back home. It seemed as if the town was ready to rest off until dawn. While not only the people made their way back home. So was the wildlife, the Maple Forest, or as many refer to it as the Grove, is filled with mystical and wondrous creatures. Once the night hits--the animals slowly turn into something oddly different. None like any other has ever seen before; the creatures turn into what seemed to be almost a nightmare. Their personalities seemed to change into villainous and dangerous. As hunters appeared to roam the night, they weren't alone. A young girl that goes by the name of Angel Kisami wandered deep into the forest. She's an outcast, alone and afraid. Like most lost children in the Grove, Angel seemed to always live in the forest. She wouldn't recall who her family once was. She's a roamer; some say she is part of the wildlife. Her personality was rather shy and quiet. Once the night hit, she would venture off deeper into the forest, much as any adventurer would. Angel's findings seem to hold her interest in continuing with her adventure. She'd make a small trail back to the huddle in the Southern part of the forest. A fallen pillar on the ground with a slight grade of rocks around it. It was almost as if it was a small home for a dwarf. She would use this as a shelter. She made a rather exciting huddle for herself. This huddle would be far from the town of Blackburn Village as many of the townspeople would look down upon children like her. This wouldn't bother Angel, as she's been on her own since she was relatively young.
While the night continued, so did she. Angel wanted to find out more about a particular type of creature that roams within the forest. The creature she was hunting for was an Ogrefly. This creature, however, is somewhat known within the Grove as a dreadling of the Duskfort. The Duskfort is an ancient city that lived in splendor and died in agony. Though with this ancient city laid to rest. Grievous creatures still haunt it. Some of which roam within the forest. Thus the Ogrefly, only one out of a hundred manage to come to the forest. It's one of the most famous flyers the MapleForest Hunters hunt. Angel simply wanted to have a piece of its wing. She tried to place it within her book and write about the creature. While Angel continued to roam a bit more, she stumbled upon a Vaporcat. This creature can trap its targets to prevent them from attacking as the Vaporcat would attack them, giving the Vaporcat the utmost advantage. Angel hid behind a rock while it was roaming near the area.
From a near distance, a faint voice can be heard. "Sir, I got one!" a fellow hunter said.
The hunter looked up towards his troupe in the distance. He was showing them a dead Weibling. A water-based enemy. One of the members signaled to the others.
"Great work, lad! You managed to kill it before it attacked the rest of us. Were you able to salvage the skin from it?" The commander bellowed back.
"Indeed I have, though I do not believe it'll be something needed in our hopes of finding the Ogrefly. After all, it's normally preying on other insects." The hunter informed the leader.
While the conversation continued, Angel swiftly removed herself from the rock she was hiding behind, going back on the trail she was following.
The hunters saw Angel, wondering for a moment why a child would be roaming around in a hazardous area. "You there!" the hunter's leader made his way closer to Angel. Examining closely to see if she bears injuries, "Why are you roaming around at a time like this?"
Angel looked down, not a word coming out of her mouth. A hunter seemed to look at Angel, impertinently saying to the leader, "Boss, why not leave her be? After all, she seems to know where she is going."
The hunter's leader looked over to the hunter. "Oh really? Do you believe so? If this was your child. Wouldn't you want her to go home at a time like this?"
