They reached her house. The whole family was waiting outside. Her dad kept the gate open even before the car arrived. She was successful in bringing him home without getting lost. Yeah, she forgets real quick. When she got out of the car, she stretched her body and touched her dad and borma's feet. Looking at her, Arohan too cane and touched their feet. Her dad stepped back and said
"Heii nalage nalage sir. Apuni suwalir boss. Laaj nidibo bhorit dhori."
Listening to him, Arohan said,
"Apuni motke dangor, xeikarone he korisu."
Her dad smiled and took him inside. Her bormaa looked at her and said
"Kiba kaam ase maina? Iman lora lorike ahili je?"
She smiled and pulled her cheeks
"Arre. Khobor lobo aihsu tumalokar. Ki je hobo."
"Hoine? Misaa kotha je koiso aaru. Baaru eibur kotha pisot patim. Bol etiya bhitorot."
They went inside. Arohan was sitting in the sofa that Aditi's dada bought a year ago. She looked at him. Damn! He was gorgeous. His eyes still reflected his love. His sight said a lot of things that he never said with his mouth. Aditi somehow was falling deep in love with him, and seeing him at her home bonding with her father meant a lot for her. She blushed with all the cute thoughts and went to her bedroom.
It was still the way she left, maybe a little neat because mom cleaned it that day. She took out her diary, her diary from her teenage years. She opened the diary and took out a pen. She wrote in one of the pages
'I deserve happiness, and here I am, happier than ever. I love my life, more than I ever thought I could. Just keep on believing.'
She closed the diary and kept it safely in the drawer. Arohan suddenly entered the room. She panickingly turned around. He somehow got confused about her behavior. He softly asked
"Something wrong Aditi?"
She answered rigorously,
"Naah.. naah nothing. Aapuni iyaat ki kori ase? Detaai dekhile beleg bhabibo."
"Naai tumaar detaa ulaai goise. Maa e bormaar logot xaak tulibo goise. Tumaak hule di pothabo."
She nodded and slowly closed the drawer. Arohan again asked
"Aditi. I don't want you to act like this. Please kua sun ki hol!"
"Sob kotha iman force kori nathakileo hoi neki sir? Kobo lagile kom nohoi."
She said, a little rudely. Hearing her tone, he got a little hurt and flashed away from there. She felt a little bad for him, but didn't say anything.
They were called to take the lunch. Arohan was silent. His happy face lowered down and he kept looking upset. In the dining table, Aditi's father asked
"Sir, kiba hol? Amak beya pale neki kiba kothaa?"
Arohan gave a slight smile and said
"Naai naai khura. Office r kiba eta kaam mila naai. Xonkale maatise. Bhabisu etiya jaai aakou raatikhon kaam koribo lagibo."
"Iss raam. Sir, apuni iman kosto koribo nalagisil. Oditi ahibo parile hoi nijei."
He nodded and kept eating. He suddenly realised his purpose for coming to Aditi's house and said
"Khura, eta kotha aasil."
"Kouk sun sir."
"Sir buli nlage matibo khura. Moi xoru apunatke."
Aditi's father smiled and nodded. He continued
"Khura, Aditik aami office r pora Delhi t eta conference attend koribo select koriso. Xeibabe aapunk moi nijeii kobo ahilu."
Dad's smile dropped. He hesitantly said
"Sir. Mane Arohan. Enekoi taaik jaabo dibo bhaal nalage. Okole okole. Guwahatito Mamak hot thake karone bhoi iman nalage. Maje maje khobor loi thake. Kintu Dilli, nujuwa tu e bhaal hobo neki?"
"Khura apuni tension nolobo. Amar eta team jaabo. Taair pura care lobo. Aaru jot conference hobo tatei thaka byobostha korise. Toh sinta koribo logiya kothaai naai."
Dada hesitantly smiled and said
"Jodii xeii bissax tu dibo paare mor aapotti naai."
"Kintu?"
Aditi's mother interfered. Her dad raised his hand and said
"Eko naai. Arohane jihetu iyaaloi kobo aahise nissoy important hobo. Jaaok diya. Bhal paabo."
Her mother didn't say anything more. Aditi was still looking down. She didn't utter a single word. Arohan said
"Aditi joldi kora. Jaabo lage. Nohole aaji kaam xekh nohobo e."
Aditi didn't reply anything and stood up to go to the kitchen. Aditi's dad didn't like the behavior. He said
"Oditi, kiba koise mukhere maatibo nuwaro neki."
Still Aditi was silent.
After all the drama, they got ready to leave. Aditi's bormaa came forward and gave Arohan a gamosa. He touched her feet and said
"Aaji khana khub dhuniyaa hoise deii khuri. Moi akou khabo aahim."
She laughed and touched his head. He sat in the car and went off. On the road, Arohan said nothing to Aditi. She was also silent. After sometime,  Arohan said
"Aditi, I won't force you, but kiba kobo loga thakile kobo paariba."
"Aaru kotha tu ulaai nathakibo. Nami jaam."
Arohan stopped the car.
"What is your problem Aditi? Huh? Problem tu ki? Iman rude kio? Ki korisu tumaar? Just eta questikn xudhisu? Onoborot ki eitu rude treatment? Moi jiman baareii tumak beyake ximan baarei sorry koisu. But you? Huh. Tumaar kunu issa e naai mok monuar. Tumaak bisaru karon olop morom bisaru. Kintu xeii morom disa janu? Efforts disa janu mor karone? Eko naai diya Aditi. Eko naai diya."
Aditi was silent. His words poked through her heart. His each word pinched her skin. He continued
"Problem ki jana? Tumii mok for granted lola. Moi toh thakim e. Pyaar ka bhukha. But you know the reality? I too want that tumii mok monua. Nalage xodaai, but atleast jetiaa tumar bhul thake. Tumio mok morom kori bujaai diya. Tumaar morom ase, but morom jothesto naai Aditi. Moromor logot okonman efforts lagibo. Nohole gelaa uthibo eii kela relationship."
Did he just curse? Aditi couldn't stop her tears. Arohan drank water from the bottle and continued the car. Aditi felt that the words were enough to kill her. After a while, Aditi said
"I attempted suicide."
A shiver went through Arohan's body. He couldn't believe his ears and stopped the car and asked with a shaky voice
"Ketiya?"
"4 bosor aagot. Pg t admission luaar pisot."
Arohan couldn't say anything more. He took out a water bottle and drank it. He wiped his forehead with a handkerchief. Aditi said
"Ki hol? Shocked? Ki suwalik bhaal palu? Kenekua messed up eii, motkeo besi. Reality ki jane? I never took you for granted. Just mor besi attachment dekhabo bhoii lage. Aaru jodi eii kaam koru? Hurt nohobo jaanu aapuni? I don't want to hurt anyone anymore.".

Arohan looked at her. Tears were flowing from her eyes. He tightened his jaws and didn't say anything. He continued driving. After sometime, he stopped the car at a place to drink tea. He looked at Aditi. She wasn't looking at him. He went out and took the tea. He brought a cup of tea with him to the car. She was asleep. He slightly kept one hand on her shoulders. She got jumpscare and woke up. He forwarded the cup without looking at her and said
"Saah, khaai luwa bhal lagibo."
She took the cup from his hand. Her fingers touched his hands. He looked at her eyes. She quickly took the cup and looked away. The slight sense of happiness that appeared on her mind somewhere got lost again. She was lost again.
He sat in the car and started the engine. She drank the tea quickly and threw the cup through the window. Her face didn't have the glow that she had before coming home. He was a little guilty. Still, his ego didn't let him say anything.
Aditi was sitting silently throughout the journey. Yeah, her way of communication was not proper, but she still couldn't process the way he scolded her. She softly said, after reaching her home,
"I'm scared."
Arohan glanced at her and said
"Kihor karone?"
"Sir, I can't stay alone. Aaji nuwarim."
Her words expressed vulnerability and weakness. Arohan took out the phone and called Sneha.
"Oi Sneha, ki koriso?
Ohh ohh. Eta kaam kor sun. Ulaai thak aaji Aditir logot thakibi. Moii tok loi aahu.
Toi gate r baahirot thakibi.
Hm de."
Aditi looked at his eyes. He said
"Ki hol?"
"Thank you."
Arohan looked at his phone and said
"Hm."
Aditi didn't get out of the car, and Arohan was not even looking at her. She felt bad. She said
"Sorry. Apunaak beyake uthilu aji. Mor khong uthe kunubaai mor personal space invade korile. Apunar logot close holu, but ximankhini kobo porake hoisilu ne naai gom napau. I hope you understand."
Arohan didn't say anything. He didn't even give any kind of reaction to that. Aditi got annoyed and said
"Apuni khong kori sorry kobo ahile moii mani lou. Apunio maani louk sun."
"Kune koise moi mana naai bulii?"
"Apuni mukh khon fulaai bohi thakile xeitue bhabim noh."
"Mukh fulabou paari neki? Moi toh gomei pua nasilu."
"Ihh hobo."
Arohan looked at her and said
"Nanama neki?"
"Nai nanamu. Apunak kotha kobo ase. Koisu jihetu bhangi paati kom."
Arohan turned the car to the road and went to pick Sneha up. Aditi started
"Xorute moi bohut happy go lucky type r suwali asilu. Ekdom jiliki thaku jotei jaau..."
"Etiyaao thaka."
Arohan interrupted. Aditi slapped his thigh unintentionally and said
"Robo sun xunok."
She realized her slap and bit her tongue. She said
"Sorry. I didn't mean to."
"Heh hobo diya. Eko naai. Kuwa etiya."
"Hm. Toh na moii amar kaxore school ekhonot porhisilu. Maa hote xodaai koi je mok hs r pisot guwahati pothaai dibo. Mor porha xopun asil Cotton t. But cotton t seat napalu. Heartbreak. Tatei DCB girls college t porhilu. Maa hote dine rati tana mari thakisil. Moi jen bojahe."
Tears fell from her eyes. Arohan saw it. While keeping his right hand on the steering wheel, his left hand started searching something in the back pocket of his jeans. He took out a handkerchief and gave it to Aditi. She took it and wipd her eyes. She continued
"Teneke moi graduate korilu. Then bhabilu je Guwahati university t mor PG korim. But then, napalu. Eibaar xojjyo nohol. Maar disappointment barhi gol. Mama hotor ghorot thaki porha decision lole maa hote. Blg college t lolu. Maami e edin kole, 'Amar time bur khabo nalage. Kobat jodii Pg paao thakibole gusii jaa.' Ulaai golu xidina xihotor ghoror pora. Oxaanti paalu. Bag t edaal cutter asil. Ulaai aani nijor petot haa...."
She choked. Arohan stopped the car. She couldn't breathe. He gave her water. She didn't drink it and got out of the car. Arohan followed her. He brought her near him. She embraced him and burst out crying. He held her tightly and kept saying
"You are fine. Moi asu nhoi. Koto najau moi. I am here. Shhh."
She kept crying. After a while, he held her shoulders and said
"Promise me, jetiyaai eibur thoughts aahe, first mok phone koriba. Moi douri jaam tumar usorot. Forever. "
He put his hands on her cheeks and kissed her forehead. She stopped crying. He whispered in her ears
"You... are... my favourite person. I can't lose you.... ever."
She looked into his eyes and nodded. She said
"Please dhori raakhibo. Moi nibisaru nijok herabo."
He smiled and said
"Always"
Tears fell from his eyes but he quickly wiped them.
