Arohan drove the car to the road leading to his house and called Sneha. The tension between the two of them grew less after the brief exchange of grief and pain. She looked a little relieved. Her eyes were less wet and there was an after cry glow in her face. Sneha picked up the call. Arohan said
"Chowk tut rokhi asu aah.
Dhett najau moii aaru. Aah toi nije.
Hm aahi thaak."
He cut the call. Aditi kept looking at him. He saw her gaze and asked
"Ki hol?"
Aditi broke her gaze. She looked down and smiled.
"Olop aaguwai kio najai?"
She bent her head to look at him and said. He looked away. He licked his lips and sighed.
"5 bosor hol, naai juwa. Taare age age edin Snehak college r pora thobo ahisilu. Gate paai kunu sinaaki manuh dekha napalu. Just osinaaki laagil nijor ghor khon."
He laughed in pain and said
"Oh nijor ghor nohoi. Just ghor ekhon."
She kept looking at him. His eyes blurted out all the pain he felt on his chest. His smile couldn't hide his pain anymore. His hands shook out of restlessness and overwhelming emotions. Aditi kept waiting for Sneha. She didn't know how to console him. She was caught up in her own problems.
Finally Aditi saw Sneha coming towards the car. She opened the car door and got up. Before anyone could say anything, Sneha started being out of breath
"Aditi bola nohole amar ghorot saah ekaap khaai ahiba."
"Kunu dorkar naai."
Arohan interrupted.
"Ihh tok kune xudhise nu. Moi taaik he xudhisu."
Arohan didn't say anything and looked away. Aditi looked down and smirked. Arohan started the car, but Sneha slapped on his shoulder
"Taaik uttor nidiar aagot gaari kio start koriso?"
Aditi smiled and said
"Aaji najaau diyaa. Bhaagor lagise. Ifaale roommate o ahise aaji. Bhat saat bonaise ne naai baa."
"Dekhili. Mor kothaa xune eii. Toio olop tor manuhjonor kothaa xunibi eiir dore."
As Arohan blurted the words, Aditi gave a quick look to him. Arohan got a little conscious. But Sneha already got ready with her comment
"Potaali neki? Iman xohojot potilaa Aditi. Napai deii."
Aditi blushed. She didn't say anything. Sneha smoothly said
"Mukhot ji aahe taake bolokibo napaai ako."
She started laughing. Arohan stopped the engine and said, irritated
"Jaa jaa. Ulaa."
Sneha crossed her hands on her chest and kept sitting in the backseat. Her face was red and she looked angry (in a sisterly annoying way). Aditi kept smirking at their weird drama. Arihan looked the rear mirror and said
"Ihh kene dekhise. Bhoote dekhileo polaabo tok. Iss iss iman beya dekhine tok. Tor dora bisarote bhagori jaam deii."
Sneha opened her mouth in an irritated look and said
"Nijok baa kene dekhi bandor tu jen paai. Nanamu jaa moii."
She suddenly started laughing and said
"Aditi... janane.. haha... haahaa.... taak..."
She couldn't stop laughing. Arohan somehow understood what she was trying to say
"Hobo chup thaak. Ekdom maari dim kintu eibur kole."
Sneha kept laughing and tried to say
"Taak nohoi.... hahaa... taak aami bhe..."
Arohan turned back and put his hand on her mouth. She tried to remove his hands and say. She kept blubbering
"Bhmmrrrr bullll ksslll tttkkk."
Aditi started laughing. Looking at her laugh Arohan looked back to her and was awestruck. His hands got loosened and Sneha finally said
"Taak bhera bulii jukaisilu aami. Taar bhorii dukhon saba sn. Jonghol hen."
Aditi laughed out loud. Arohan quickly glanced at Sneha and slapped at her shoulder. The sound of the slap was very loud and Sneha started shouting in pain.
"Bhera korobar. Kio eneke thaako. Dheii. Faltu kibaa."

Suddenly they heard a knock at the window. It was a police. They got scared. Arohan slowly lowered the glass.
"Ete ki mojlis solii ase? Haa?"
The police asked, in a half upper and half lower assamese accent. Arohan blabbered
"Naai sir. Mor bhonti e kibaa kajia korii asil mor logot."
"Bhontii haa. Amak murkho paisa tuhaai. Kube lamba korii dim ole jabo mukhedii boinere naa ghoinnere."
Arohan didn't say anything. Suddenly Aditi asked
"Boinere mane?"
Listening to her, the police replied in a taunting way.
"Ooo moina. Kohaai tumaar ghor? Ete guwahatit aihso kaam korba. Ghuraa furaa nokorbaa iman. Eii apa mkhn bhaal nohoi. Taar pisot kiba holii dokh amak he dibaa. Bola bola. Police thanak bola."
"Kintu sir"
Arohan tried to say something
"Baad daa ha tumar kotha. Bolaa aage."
Arohan didn't like the behavior of the police. He said
"Iman kotha nokoleo hol hoi sir. Eneo golu hoi. Bhul koraa naai jihetu bhoii nai. Mukhot ji paai taake boki nathakibo police hol buli."
He closed the window
The police murmured
"Ihh bappaoii level taar."
He went to his car and Arohan followed the car. Aditi got scared. She said
"Sir mor eibur bhoi lage. Detaahote gom paale kaatibo mok."
Sneha said
"Eii eko naai roba. Moii korii asu manage."
She connected a call while talking to Aditi. Arohan said
"Kunu dorkar naai. Moi kori asu ji koribo lage."
Till then, sneha put the phone in speaker and the call was connected. It was Rohan. She said
"Eii Rohan, ami police thanat."
"Ami mane?"
"Baba da, moi aru Aditi. Ami eta jagat bohut time rokhi asu karone kibaa belege assume korii lole. Kiba kor na."
"Roh roh moi manage korii asu."
"Kunu dorkar naai. Moi kori lom manage."
Arohan interrupted
"Ketiyaba mor pora help lole xoru hoi najao."
Rohan cut the call. Arohan tried to say something but it was worthless. He knew it was his brother, nothing different from him. He kept driving the car and said in rafe
"Pagol neki toii? Taak he phone koribo paali. Ki dorkar aasil."
Sneha also replied with same fury
"Tohot dutaa kio enekuaa. Dhett."
Sneha was visibly upset over Arohan's weird behavior towards Rohan. She kept quiet and looked outside the window. Aditi's cheerful mood again came to a hault. She lowered her face and looked at the floor of the car. Tears flew down her eyes. Neither Sneha nor Arohan saw her tears. Aditi wiped them quickly with her dupatta. She said,
"Sneha paani okonman dibaa sun."
Sneha picked up the bottle from the seat pocket and forwarded it to her. She took the bottle and opened it. Slowly, she drand the water and closed the bottle.
They reached the station and Aditi's heartbeat was growing fast. She held Sneha's hands and walked towards the station.
As they were sitting in the bench inside the station, Rohan appeared. Sneha saw him and went towards him. He said,
"Ki murtu koribo goisili?"
"Dheii, eko koraa nasilu. Arohan r logot kajiya korii asilu. Police e gaari khon rokhaai thuaa karone loi e ahile. Etiya ki karubaar gaari beya holeo loii ahibo neki! Mane nokoisu aaru."
Rohan grinned at her fury. He said
"Roh. Aahi aasu moi."
Arohan interrupted
"Eko nalage koribo. Moi manage korii lom."
Rohan ignored him and went to the inspector's room. Arohan came near Sneha and said
"Kaam naasil tor?"
"Rohan aru moi jail t xumaleo tok matilu hoi. Iman natok nokoribi."
He kept silent. He knew that arguing with Sneha would be of no good. He looked at Aditi. She was sitting, with hands on her face. He put his hands on her shoulder. She looked at him, and again kept sitting like before. He said
"I am sorry. Mor karone tumii eibur bear koribo logaa hoise."
She didn't say anything. He brought his hands back and kept sitting. He continued
"Jana, xodaai mor logot enekua e hoi. Okon xukh paale pise pise kibaa bixonnotaa aahibo e. Okon hahileye nojor lage mor hahit."
He grinned sorrowfully and said
"Sage tumaako heraam. Paisu nu kot pise.... Beyaa napaba."
He stood up and walked towards the door. The police said
"Oii, nijor jagat bohii thaak."
He went back to his seat and sat down. Aditi smirked at the incident and sat straight. She said
"Pua nupuwar kothaa aani dise aapuni. Jiyei nhouk. Moi xenekuaa suwali nohoi. Buji paabo sesta koribo sun ketiyaba. Gathi bur khula jaabo hridoyor. "
Arohan didn't say anything. He leaned his head to the wall and closed his eyes. Aditi put her hand on his thigh and said
"Aapuniyeii mor bhoroxaa. Xeibabe sage obhimano aapunakeii dekhaau. Anubhab bur kobole maa hotok kaaxot napalueii. Nijoko heraalu. Aapuni sage Aditi jonik bisaari disil. Xikarone xeii Aditi joniye aapunakeii monor aapon bulii bhabe."
He didn't sit up. He just smiled and put his hand over her. She held it tight.
