Sunny whimpered to herself as she felt another cramp inside her. Why does this keep happening? She sobbed inwardly. It'd been going on all day, and had been distracting her from everything, it had even caused her to feel a bit... grumpy, she thought with a shudder.

"What's wrong with me?" Sunny asked, going up to Tsunami later.

"Oh, I know what's going on," Tsunami replied, looking at her knowingly, "it's your time of the month."

Sunny stared at her confused, "Time? What time of month?"

"Oh, it's just the time of month all young dragon women go through, cramps, mood swings, stuff like that."

"Stuff like that," Sunny gulped.

"It's okay, that's why we use these," said Tsunami, dramatically pulling out a tampon like it was some sort of product placement (which it's not), and handed it to Sunny.

"What's this?" asked Sunny.

"A tampon," Tsunami announced with pride, "It's to stop all that, you know... stuff."

"But... what do I do with it?" Sunny swallowed hard.

Tsunami bent over and whispered in Sunny's ear.

"It goes where?" Sunny exclaimed.

Tsunami just nodded at her, looking serious.

"Oh no," Sunny whimpered in distress.

Sunny found a quiet cave with no other dragons around in which she could do what she needed to do. She sat in a corner, taking deep breaths to get her thoughts under control, trying to figure out how she wanted to do this. She could do this, right?

Finally, she gulped, time to get this over with, "here goes."

And so, Sunny applied the tampon, awkwardly trying to figure out the right procedure. Sunny whimpered to herself; This was so not right.

But then it was done. Sunny just sat there a moment, trying to let herself wash down the embarrassment she felt at herself.

Great, there was still this string, what was she to do with that?

Perhaps no one would notice.

Finally, as her emotions started to get back in control, she stepped out of the cave and followed the halls to the library where Starflight would be studying. Best to get her mind off of things. That'd work.

When she entered the library, she noticed Starflight, Tsunami, and Glory already there. When Starflight saw her, his eyes lit up.

"Sunny! How are you doing?"

Sunny tried to push off that awkward feeling inside her, Tsunami looked at her knowingly.

Sunny looked back at Starflight, "I'm fine, I'm great, I'm fine," she said, giving one of her most forced smiles, which was completely unnatural because all of her smiles were completely totally authentic.

Before anybody could answer, Clay stumbled in, "Hey all, how you doing?" Then, he didn't mean to but he accidentally noticed it, and now he couldn't unnotice. "Hey uh, Sunny, there's a string attached to you or something."

Sunny's face went red, the other dragons looked at her.

Sunny couldn't hold it back any longer, she just burst out, "I'm sorry, I was having cramps, and I was acting grumpy, and then she said it was my time of the month, and now I have to start wearing tampons!" The embarrassment was too much, that she was sobbing from her humiliation.

Starflight looked at her, "Uh, Sunny," he said, this was an awkward topic, but since it was also academic, he managed to overcome the trouble of pushing through, "Dragons don't need tampons. Supposedly scavengers use them, but not dragons."

Sunny looked at Tsunami, who was smirking to herself, trying to hold in her laughter.

"WHAT!?" Sunny cried, her face going red. She yanked the tampon from herself and slammed it to the floor. She took deep breaths trying to calm herself from the embarrassment she felt from the other dragons' dumbfounded stares. Tsunami had set her up for this, how could she do this to her?

After a few deep breaths, Sunny started to feel her normal, calm self returning. It was okay, she'd just forget this all had happened.

Finally, Starflight took a breath, "But, if you're experiencing cramps and mood swings," he continued, "It might mean you're about to lay an egg."

With those words, Sunny froze on the spot. "Wai- What?" she gulped.
