⋆*.•Ao'nung POV•.*⋆
"Papa! Papa! Wake up!" I wake up to my daughter's voice. "Yes Lana?" I open my eyes and sit up, noticing that Neteyam is not here anymore. "Daddy said he wanted me to get you ready to go to the forest!" The five year old says excitedly, jumping up and down. "And why did he says that?" I tilt my head at my daughter, smiling softly. "I don't know" She shrugs, running out of the marui.
"Hey! Lana! Wait!" I stand up and run after my daughter, watching her jump onto a tree stump. "Come on Papa! We can't be late!" She continues running, making it to the beach. I immediately get winded because I wasn't made for running, I'm more of a swimmer.
"Papa you're really slow!" She giggles, taking my hand and continuing walking. She brings me into the forest, all the way to a small clearing in the trees. On the floor is a mat, with food on it. I remember Neteyam telling me about this... Picnics, I think?
"Hey" I look up from the mat and see Neteyam, he's holding our son in his arms. "Morning Kìlvan" I go towards my boyfriend and take our son from him.
We adopted Lana a couple months after the war, she was only three at the time. Kìlvan was found as a baby last year, he's still only two though. We had decided to adopt the two of them because their parents were sadly lost in the war against the sky people.
"What's all this Teyam?" I ask, leaning down a bit and kissing him on the forehead. "Take a seat, I'll tell you in a second" He goes over to Lana and sits her down on the mat. I sit Kìlvan down as well, right next to his sister.
"So... Will you tell me now?" I raise a non-existent eyebrow at him, watching him sit down as well. "Okay, well, remember when we were talking about sky people? And all the things my father and the scientists have told me about them?" I sit down as well, nodding in response.
"Do you remember what we were talking about, specifically?" He's acting weird... "Uh yeah, we were talking about 'marriage' and stuff" I answer, almost melting when I see Kìlvan fall asleep on Lana. "Okay well... Here goes nothing..." When I look back at Neteyam, he is crouched down on one knee.
My eyes widen as I see him. "Wha-" I stop myself, my breath catching in my throat. "Ao'nung te Payfya Tonnowari'itan..." He pauses, smiling at me. "Will you be my husband" He smiles, leaving me there speechless.
"Papa you're blushing!" I feel tears, happy tears, threatening to fall from my eyes as I breath into my hand. I look over to my son, chuckling a bit. I rub my eyes as I look back over to Neteyam.
"So?" He looks at me with a soft smile. "Yes! A thousand times yes!" I jump at him and tackle him off of his knee. "Wait for me!!!" Lana jumps on top of the two of us, eager to join the hug.
[and yes @chonkehbeaver you are invited please don't complain]
"Papa!!! Daddy!!!" The three of us look over to Kìlvan, who is pouting as he watches us. I sigh and get up, going over to him and picking him up. "Yes?" I look down at him, pretending to be confused. "You forgot meeee" He complains, giggling a bit.
I chuckle and look down at Neteyam, seeing him with tears in his eyes. "Wait, Ma'Teyam? What's wrong?" I crouch down next to him and Lana. "I just- never thought you would say yes... Kiri and Tsireya were pressuring me into doing it... And I was so worried-" I cut him off by wrapping him and Lana into a hug.
---------------------------------
It is already dark out, and we are laying in our Marui. 'We' being Neteyam, me, Lana, and Kìlvan. The kids fell asleep quite a while ago, and me and Neteyam have just been talking to each other in low voices.
"Papa?" Lana groans quietly, stretching a bit. "Yes honey?" I look down at her worriedly, checking if she's alright. "Can you tell me a story?" She asks, whining a bit. I smile and shift a little bit, knowing exactly what story I'm going to tell.
"Of course" I smile, noticing that Kìlvan had woken up at the work at the word 'story'. This particular story, I know will also help Neteyam get to sleep.
"Everyone ready?" I ask, looking down at my kids and fiancé. All three of them mumble a 'yes', so I begin the story.
"Long ago, at the time of the first songs, a young metkayina boy, Trr'ong, decided he wanted to venture across the oceans and become a traveller..."

Alr this was terrible even I've got to admit that. I'm probably gonna rewrite it, but you're stuck with this for now.
Also 'yes or no', should I write like a wedding chapter? (If I do it'll be like an au where they are on earth because otherwise I'll lose my mind) Because then I can add you guys as characters for it but idk.
Thank youuu for reading this [incredibly bad] chapter, I hope you have an awesome day/night!! 💙
