cheong-san took this moment to look above to warn them of any zombies. however, when he did so he was met with his mother's eyes.

" eomma?"

" eomma!" cheong-san repeated and began to try and climb over the truck towards her, when hae-yi pulled him back to crouch down beside her. cheong-san breathed shakily as hae-yi stood up and saw his mother, the woman who had shown her so much kindess and had acted as a mother figure for her over the years, now as a zombie.

dae-su crawled out from under the truck and began to hit cheong-san's mother with a bat he held in his hands.

" there's another zombie here!" he called out to warn the others.

cheong-san slowly stood up beside hae-yi and watched dae-su and joon-yeong repeatedly hit his mother.

" stop it." he whispered, his voice hoarse, " stop it!"

cheong-san jumped onto the truck and ran across to them, pushing dae-su away and sending him to the floor.

" what are you doing?" he yelled, punching the boy across his face repeatedly, " you son of a bitch!"

dae-su finally managed to push cheong-san away, and su-hyeok dashed over and grabbed cheong-san, preventing him from stopping joon-yeong, dae-su and wu-jin.

" let go!" cheong-san demanded, " get the fuck off me!"

hae-yi rushed over to cheong-san and held onto his hand as he struggled to escape.

" eomma!" he cried out, causing the boys to stop hitting his mother at his words.

" eomma.." cheong-san sobbed, and su-hyeok's grip loosened. he slowly kneeled down on the floor below as he weeped. hae-yi watched him lower his head as he cried, staring at his mother.

" hurry." nam-ra warned hyo-ryung, na-yeon and ji-min as she noticed more zombies approaching.

" let's go." su-hyeok told everybody, " run!"

everybody ran towards the path into the woods, except for cheong-san, hae-yi, su-hyeok and nam-ra.

" let's go cheong-san!" hae-yi told the boy, aware of all the monsters approaching them.

" pull yourself together!" su-hyeok tugged on cheong-san's jumper.

" please, cheong-san!" hae-yi begged, " come with us."

su-hyeok and hae-yi finally managed to get the sobbing boy to start running away with them. nam-ra and su-hyeok ran in front, while hae-yi dragged cheong-san along behind. hae-yi intertwined her hand with cheong-san's as she pulled him along.

cheong-san looked back as they ran to see his mother amongst many other zombies, being pushed around.

" eomma!" he cried out, " eomma!"

finally, they reached the others and sprinted beside them, with zombies close behind.

as they ran, hae-yi spotted hyo-ryung trip and hold her hand out for ji-min to help her up. however, ji-min looked fearfully at the zombie running at the girl and dashed in the opposite direction, leaving hyo-ryung. hae-yi made sure cheong-san had somebody near him before rushing over and shielding the girl from the zombie, getting scratched on her face in the process. wu-jin managed to help hyo-ryung up, and just as the zombie was about to injure hae-yi more, an arrow shot into its neck and it dropped dead.
