You were in a relationship with Austin Butler. He was handsome and kind, and so caring. And you were so happy that we was your first boyfriend.

But..there was just something off. Austin had previously had many girlfriends before you, and he had already had his firsts with someone else..but he was your first. He often assured you that just because you were too late to be his first, doesn't mean you're not his favourite.

You just couldn't help but compare yourself to his exes. You felt sad sometimes cause he'd say things like..

"Well Kaia never did that to me..." or, "Vanessa always did that for me." And you just felt like you could be doing more.

One day you were looking at articles from when he was dating others too see if you couldn't improve but he came in. And on your laptop you were also looking at 'how to not feel insecure about your boyfriends exes'. So.

You slammed the laptop closed and put it aside. He rubbed your shoulders as he walked behind you, on his way to come sit beside you.

He rested his head on your shoulder and put his arm around you, rubbing your waist.

"Hey. Why're you looking so down then?" He asked.
"Nothing." You sighed.
"Nothing? Are you sure..?" He frowned. "Not feeling bad about yourself again are you?"
"No. I'm fine." You mumbled.
"Kay. If you're sure." He nodded, rubbing your hand. You were too tired to notice him reaching for the laptop to pull up a movie for you and him to watch.

He frowned as he looked at the opened tabs and search history.

"Y/N baby what's all this?" He frowned, looking at you.

You looked at the screen. "Erm..I'm not sure."
"Sweetheart.." he cooed. "I thought we talked about this."

You sniffled, a tear rolling down your cheek. "I'm sorry, I just, I just feel like I'm..out of place."
"Not this again..I love you..okay?" He reassured you, holding both your hands.
"I know you do but to you, it's just another date, and it's just another Christmas in a relationship but.. for me it's things like our first Christmas together and..I'm having my firsts but you're used to it all." You tell him.
"Hey, no no, I love our dates. I love doing everything with you, you're special to me. You're the most beautiful, loyal, and kind girl I've ever been with and that makes you just perfect and so special to me." He says.

But those words just didn't seem to stick. Whatever. Austin was a nice boy you could trust.

That next day, you decided you'd treat him so well he'd forget about everyone else and just love you. So you made him his favourite food to eat in the mornings along with a smoothie, and organised his scripts and got his bag ready for him in the morning.

Whilst he was at work, you cleaned the house, so it was nice for the evening you'd planned for later.

You went out to the store to grab some stuff, too. He was gonna love this.

As it approached 5, you decided to make his favourite dinner. You also decided to bake him some cookies, so whilst they were cooking you set the dinner table.

You hear Austin's keys rattling outside and you're excited for him to see. He walked in, and looked at you.

"Hi sweetheart." He said, sniffing. "Smells so good in here. You making something nice?"
"Your favourite." You smiled.
"Oh, baby. Thank you so much.." he smiled, putting his hands on your head to give your forehead a big sloppy kiss. He was so sweet.

"Okay, now just wait till it's ready." You instructed him.
"Got it." He nodded and smiled.

He went off somewhere for a bit and came downstairs just in time.
