Asher
Bree had been in the studio, with the guys, over the past week. I wasn't supposed to know about it, but the evidence was on my studio computer.
They already had three songs that were ready for edits.
She amazed me in every way.
I began to try to find things to keep me out of the house, just to give her time to work. One thing was today's activity.
"This is a mall?!" DC's jaw dropped, as we entered the tri-layered mall, "Wow! This is a dream come true!"
I chuckled as her eyes darted around.
"Listen, I need your help with something, then we can shop till you drop." I looked around. No one had noticed me yet, but it was only a matter of time, so I had to get my errand done before someone caught on.
"What do you need MY help with?"
"I'll show you."
I walked with a determination, down the hall, past all of the clothing stores, make-up galleries and salons.
I was on a mission.
When I came to a store that looked like it may have what I needed, I went in.

"A jewelry store?" DC's brow furrowed in confusion, "Why are we here?"
"I want you to help me." I turned to face her, pulling the tiny circular object out of my pocket, "I need to do better than this."
"That's Mom's ring!" She gaped.
I rolled my eyes, "I know, but I only paid six-hundred for this ring. I think I can do a little better this time around."
"But she loves that ring," She argued, but was quick to gasp, as she caught on.
"You gave her that ring when you asked her to marry you, but you said, "This time around."" Her eyes narrowed as she crossed her arms, a trait I'm positive she got from her mother.
"I did." I gave a tight nod.
"Are you serious?" She asked, "You're going to ask her again?"
"Technically, we're still engaged." I smiled, as though I'd out-beat her wit.
"If you're STILL engaged, then you cheated on her." Her lips tightened, "A lot actually."
Far too soon, Ash... Far too soon... You can't out-wit this one...
"Do you still love her?"
"Of course I do!" I hissed.
"Have you told her that, because when we came here, she was under a different impression."
"What do you mean?" My brow furrowed in question.
"Wait!" She snapped, point to the ring in my hand, "How did you even get that ring?"
"Are you changing the subject?"
"If she finds out it's missing, she'll kill you." Her eyes bulged, "I want no part of this! I feel like an accomplice."
"DC, can you just help me?" I sighed, "I want to find something better."
She fidgeted nervously, "Fine, but I'd return that one, before she knows it's missing."
She moved to one of the cases, "And if you love her, you need to tell her!"

BREE
Asher hadn't been around much all week and I was beginning to worry. What was he up to all day, when he wasn't here and, if the guys were all with me, who was he with? My only solace was that when he came home, we were inseparable.
