CHAPTER 8

Chase

-See you later- she tells me as I open the car's door and start heading to the hospital again, seeing Olivia laid in the door.

-Hey- she says, looking kinda tired- you got some things to tell me.

I laugh as we head to my car, walking rapidly since it was starting to rain a bit.
When I get in she immediately teases- spill the tea.

-You are such a gossip- I mutter as I start pressing the engine, driving slowly.

-Come onnn have you gotten back together?- she asks me.

I roll my eyes- no we haven't- I answer.

She raises an eyebrow as I explain her- we are back at being friends, i dont know, when we talked everything felt so normal.

-But you still love her- she says.

-Yeah but I've realized that we work out better as friends, i don't know, as I told you, it was like meeting for the first time again.

-That's really mature- she says, rubbing my knee- I'm really proud of you and of her, this probably wasn't easy for her but still decided to give you a last chance.

I nod- she's the best- I say.

-Heyy, I'm still here- she shas which makes me push her playfully.

-You are like a sister to me so shut up- I say- by the way, I'm going to Madison's house this night, you wanna come?

-Ugh, I'd love to but I'm exhausted, who convinced you though? I thought you never wanted to go out again- she says.

-Maddie is really stubborn so I just couldn't say no.

-I'm sure that's why- she says smirking- where did you two go by the way, if you can tell me of course.

-I hate you- I say- we went shopping.

She immediately lets out a laugh- YOU WENT SHOPPING!!?

-Shut up- I say- we are going to crash if you keep being like this.

-What did you get?

-She got a dress and a top for tonight and a woman called security in the dressing rooms because she said that boys weren't allowed- I tell her as she laughs.

-Oh god, I would have loved to see your face- She says dying out of laughter.

-Shut up- I say again- so, If you change your mind and decide to come tonight just tell me alright?

-Okayy- she says, as I slowed down in a part of the road so that she could get out.

-Byee keep me updated with everything!- she yells, as she run to her building.

I have a pleasant drive back to my apartment, where I took a nap.

I'm waken up by my phone vibrating, me slowly opening my eyes, seeing it was almost six o'clock.

I see that my mom was calling me, what on earth did she want now?
I decide to answer her, because I had been declining her calls these last weeks.

-Hi my love- she says excitedly, kind of surprised.

-Hi mom- I say a bit sleepy- you just woke me up from my nap.

-Oops sorry- she says laughing a bit- so do you know if Maddie is finally coming? or has she decided to go to her friend's wedding.

Of course she wasn't going to any wedding, it's the only excuse I was able to come up with a few weeks ago.

-Um, I'll see her later and she'll tell me mom- I say.
