Chase
-Come on come on!- Pressley repeats as she walks nervously around her seat, not getting her eyes off the big screen.
The match was coming to an end and to everyone's surprise the other team was winning, not for many more points but the clock was ticking and there was not much time left.
Evan wasn't playing right now as he had been one of the main players in the first time, so he needed a well gained rest. And for my displeasure, the team without Evan was not doing as good as when they started.
I hate saying this but I am at the same time proud to see how my small brother is growing and getting so much better.I hope he finds in hockey what I found in acting.
Just with that, he can be as happy as he wants because finding your true passions definitely makes a difference in your life.
I now understand the teachers' need for us to find what we loved doing, all those tests and internet quizes weren't just a way of missing some periods or class hours, they were essential for our future happines and even though the results of those never told me to be an actor, I'm happy I ended up trying it.-YES!- they all shout at the same time.
Making me look at the screen immediately, seeing that there was less than a minute left and that my brother's team was back on winning.
Hopefully they'd be able to stay like that for some seconds, then they'd win and maybe even go to the nationals match.-Ten, nine, eight, seven.... four, three, two, one!- People from all the stadium yell.
Then the only thing that can be heard is that loud beep that announces us that the match had come to an end.
A silence covers the whole place.
Then loud shouts cover back the atmosphere as I hug my family, watching Maddie and Pressley become crazy as they hugged each other as well.
-I knew it- Pressley says as she hugs me- I'm so happy- she repeats, as tears start forming in her eyes.
-I'm so proud of him- I say, my heart speaking the truth- don't tell him I said that- I tell her with a dead stare as she goes back to laughing.
I loved that my brother had found someone this amazing to be with him.
I loved that he could feel what I was feeling.
I loved that he was loved.Everyone keeps shouting while slowly leaving their seats, heading to the exit where they would probably party.
I would sell my kidney for being back on a hockey team, living that whole experience again, partying hard after each match as beer covered our sweated bodies. However I was not complaining about my life now, how could I?
It was just nostalgic feelings that got to me after watching a match again, it sure was weird to see it from a different point of view but I was cheerful someone I loved so muck like my small brother could also experience this. When the stairs are almost free of people, we start heading to another of the exits where our uber would be waiting for us.
I walk behind Maddie, grabbing her by the waist only for the matter of not getting lost. This place was so crowded it was even hard to breath.
I can't imagine being here while summer, it must be deadly.Maddie flinched a bit when I first grabbed her by her waist but she just let it be.
I knew I needed to apologize but this place was probably not the best for doing so.
When we finally get out of the stadium we try looking for Evan, who would be covered by beer and alcohol by now. Nevertheless, we have no success at all in finding him.-Fuck- Pressley says while looking not very happy.
-What's wrong?- I ask her as she tries to turn on her phone.
