Bent lovers- a Chase and Madelyn story (part 2)

CHAPTER 5

Chase

I follow her for some minutes until we arrive at which I think was her apartment since she gets her keys out and opens the door.

When I come in I immediately fall in love with the place.

Everything was decorated kinda boho, the kitchen was connected to the whole living room and even though it was quite small, everything was very functional.
There was a couch and a beanbag in the living room, sitting in front of a big TV, surrounded by a mirror, pictures and some decorations.
There were two big windows which i think were connected to a small balcony, although I could not see that very clearly since It was very dark outside.
In front of the kitchen there was a small hall, which had two doors, which i'm guessing were the bathroom and her room.

-It's quite small- she says smiling a bit, putting on a shy smile I loved.

I just smile, I didn't want to say anything in case I fucked up because I had noticed that she kind of hated me, a lot. (which is understandable)

-So that door is the bathroom and feel free to grab a glass of water if you feel like having some- she says pointing to the bathroom and then the kitchen.

-Okay- I say, honestly I just wanted to sleep- do you have an extra phone charger? just want to let everyone know I arrived- I quickly say, hoping she would say yes. I could not fall asleep without seeing some old pics of us.
I know it sounds creepy but otherwise I'd have nightmares.

She nods and goes to her bedroom, getting out in an instant and handing me the charger as I said- thanks.
I go to the couch area, plugging my phone to the charger and suddenly seeing hundreds of messages, most of them by Olivia.

I see that she was filling herself a glass of water, while getting some snacks so I start reading Livs' messages.

"Where are you?"
"Did you get home?"
"I hope you are not overthinking too much about this night, she is probably still hurt"
"I completely understand her, but she could have been a little bit nicer to you"
"She's actually very pretty though, how did you manage to pull her?? jkjk haha"
"Anyways, let me know when you arrive, good night chase <3"

I start texting her that I was at Maddie's house and answering that message about "she could have been a little nicer" saying that I completely deserved it and that at least she offered me her apartment to stay.

She immediately answers me saying "NO WAY GO BOYYY"

I just roll my eyes and tell her "We didn't have any other chance, she probably didn't want to"

I see that she is typing "This might be your only chance to talk to her, please chase do it now or you'll regret it"

I read that message and decide that I was going to do so, maybe not tonight but perhaps tomorrow morning.

I look back and see that she was going to start heading to her room so I decide that I should tell her now- Maddie?- I say, quickly catching her attention and making her look at me.

She stares at me, as if she was telling me to go on.

-Can we talk tomorrow morning?- I ask her.

She looks down and then looks at me again- I don't think there's anything else to talk about- she says.

That breaks my heart, I really lost her this time.

-Please- I say, not wanting to give up.

I knew she deserved someone better, but just the simply thought of seeing her with someone made my heart shatter so, If I wanted to be that someone, I needed to get better.
